South Main Courts Tourist Camp At 6433 South Main St.

Highrise Tower

Thanks to Ross, I discovered a historic camp site located a long South Main.

I would love to find more information about this! It was a literal wooded camp site? The naming of Tourist Courts are usually for motor court motels?

I searched Google Books, and there is (apparently) one result within the book: However, the book is restricted and I cannot preview inside.
Official Directory of Motor Courts, Cottage Camps and Inns. By American Automobile Association · 1937.

From the 1935 directory:

The only thing I could find.

From the publication City book of Houston 1925 : containing a survey of the city administration, an analysis of the port of Houston, a historical sketch of Houston, and a brief outline of the activities of the various city departments by Beard, Norman Henry.

The Tourist Camp in Hermann Park.
