Thought I would go a head and create a thread with my findings. Not exactly sure where this place was located. I believe it would be located on South Main in Missouri City. 1927 advertisement: Loma Linda “The Place to Dine” Dining Dancing Entertainment Located on Richmond-Houston road- Better known as “The Old Spanish Trail”- within 20 minutes of South Main Street, half way between Houston and Sugar Land Here you can dine and dance amidst electorate and delightful surroundings. Delicious meals- dancing between courses- and entertainment by artists of national repute. Jimmy Bittick, Conductor of Loma Linda Orchestra. For your entertainment- Rick & Snyder- Columbia Recording Artists, in Harmony and Character Singing-- Reservations: Accompany reservations by check made payable to Loma Linda, 731 Chronicle Building, downtown office, phone Preston 5974. June 16, 1927: Loma Linda Now Open “A Place to Dine” Entertainment How to get to Loma Linda Drive south on Main Boulevard to the end of the pavement, then bear left, crossing the railway racks; follow the main highway, passing “End o' Main” dance pavilion, thence to Loma Linda. December 20, 1928: Palace of Gastronomy Dine and Dance at Loma Linda Inn Dinner $2.00 or Service a la Carte No Cover Charges Make your New Year's Eve Reservations Now - - - $5.00 per person.
