Guest danax
It just adds to our mystique. Every large city has its infamous history. The truth about a place is reserved for those who live there.
RedScare
The fact that Bloomberg even wrote a story like that shows how far Houston has come. In the past, we had no image to protect. Those with thin skins would be well advised to ignore the news about the Enron trial for awhile. For thosewho are curious, you will probably see a lot of stories like this one, contrasting the corporate greed of Enron with the caring volunteers at the Astrodome. Ought to be interesting. Me? I intend to revel in it. A reporter who only comes to town to cover a big story is bound to get the feel of the city wrong. I doubt my life will change dramatically because of it. I suspect yours won't either.
MidtownCoog
Overall, it was a fine article. But I feel pretty stupid about the Super Bowl alternate route quote.Hopefully, we are learning. But I can't help think it's time for a changing of the guard at the Houston Forum, Houston's convention bureau and all the competing organizations.Fresh blood is good. Subdude
A friend of mine has already seen camera crews this week filming around the Enron building, no doubt for the background stories.
