The permit hasn't been approved yet. The sign plan is for Happy Go Lucky. It's a new frozen cocktail to-go concept from the team behind The Burger Joint and The Taco Stand. Bermudez didn't share full details or specific locations, but he did provide a brief overview of what's in store. Asked him when this will open and once again permits are the hold up. He said the sign is in the wrong spot and will be moved to the center of the flower bed instead of on the side where it is. He also said the two houses on 20th St. belong to Shawn and will become a coffee shop. Said the Car Wash should open very soon but the Pizza Place building is in really bad shape and thinks it might get demolished. He said engineers need to determine which way to go with it. He said the two story house on Westheimer and Mulberry next to Pistolero's is probably going to be a Taco Joint. Typically, after a pre-opening inspection, restaurants or bars open shortly thereafter. Sometimes it's anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. And other times it's a month or so later. I suppose we'll find out sooner or later. Happy Go Lucky is a drive-thru bar and Italian ice concept from the team behind The Burger Joint and The Taco Stand.
