VicMan Posted December 9, 2005 Share Posted December 9, 2005 (edited) Westbury High School in the southwest Houston neighborhood of Westbury suffered from a fight between New Orleans and Houston students on December 7, 2005.The fight started during the first lunch period. The fight resulted in 27 arrests (more than 1% of the student population).About 300 New Orleans kids are enrolled in the school of 2400.Westbury High School serves Westbury, Westbury South, Glenshire, Parkwest, Post Oak Manor, Willow Bend, most of Willow Meadows, a very small part of Maplewood, about half of Westwood, and parts of Fondren Southwest, are zoned to Westbury High School. There's always friction when a large group is brought into an existing situation, but these people are only from Louisiana. They're not that different from Houstonians.
