bedmondson
I am interested in the connection of this trail to the one that goes past Stude Park (MKT?) It is a separate project that appears to be ready to go but the COH GIMS website which has estimated construction start dates for it keeps moving it back every 3 months for the past year. Visitor
The demolition on this is painfully slow... no wonder its an 18 month project.
Leonard
Anyone using Houston Ave to get downtown now? Just heard it will be closed from Lubbock to 45 July 8 thru Sept.

Visitor
Anyone know more about the food truck kiosk site between yale and heights on east/west and white oak/EB feeder? There is a sign for it by Texas CRES. Would love to see that brush cleaned up and the urban campers removed.
HoustonMidtown
The new bike trail has been connected to the "old" trail - it's completed all the way to the Yale St bridge construction area Edited August 13, 2016 by HoustonMidtown

InTheLoopFromNYC
Coming along nicely... This project started shortly after the tax-day storm and I thought was supposed to take a year -- looks like they're ahead of that schedule!
Angostura
I was quietly hoping the 20-month timeline was a red herring.

Angostura
Any reason this shouldn't be finished by the end of the year?
Visitor
Finishing a year ahead of schedule? While I would be elated (this impacts me daily) I'd be shocked if they finished by EOY. I'm no engineer or construction expert though.
mollusk
It could easily be finished by the end of the year if enough resources are thrown at it. After all, the MacArthur Maze connector in Oakland was rebuilt and reopened less than a month after it collapsed in a pretty spectacular tanker fire. Granted, there was a bit more urgency to reopening two major metropolitan freeway connector ramps.
Angostura
What I mean is, it looks like all that's left to do is the actual road surface and the railings, which should just be a couple days work. All the structural work appears to be done.
