Fore Right
So they're opening the new 249 toll road this Sunday. My question is, who paid for the old section of the new toll road where the signs have been posted for years stating "Future Toll Road" around 2920? Are we going to be charged to drive on a toll road that was built with TXDOT funds?
BigFootsSocks
You mean that one small bypass? Also, a little late to the party don't you think?
brhaltx
The bypass bridge is free; you only have to pay tolls on both sides of it...
mercurge
Am I the only one bothered by the fact that southbound travelers pay tolls based in where you enter the toll road and how far you drive . Northbound travelers pay the entire fee regardless of where you exit. I would get off at the first exit and pay the same as someone using the entire road. SB drivers pay as they exit , NB drivers pay as you enter . Edited April 14, 2015 by mercurge
Luminare
Until they get 249 as far up as plantersville (which will be many years from now) I don't see a reason to use it. The only reason they got off their butts to finish this part of 249 was because of the grand parkway.
