geoffl
I am adding an addition to my house and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for someone who builds foundations. I need them to pour the footing, install brick/cmu piers and beams. Thanks in advance.
arche_757
How large of an addition, and what part of town?
geoffl
How large of an addition, and what part of town? ~300 sq ft in the heights.
arche_757
Hmm... I don't know any contractors in the Heights. Sorry to say: I'll ask my office if they know of anyone. Is the house "historical" ? Or new construction? And I'm not sure how CoH or the Heights views additions? You may want to contact a structural engineer, as they'll size things correctly. Avossos
I am also building a guest house in my backyard in Old 6th. This will be peir and beam as well - It is a pretty big project, and if anyone knows of a contractor that enjoys the craft / artistry of doing cool small scale projects (not mcmansions or anything) let me know. Thanks

Yes, it's historical. The COA has already been approved. I've already got stamped engineering plans. Just looking for a subcontractor to build the foundation, not a general contractor.
