Grand Parkway - April 2013 Update

There's not a lot of new information here, but the announcement of a "new website in May to keep the community informed" is a good sign.

 

Here's a few other tidbits:

 

"Plans call for the roadway to run under 2920, so it won’t interfere with the Hooks Airport entrance, said Gornet."

 

"The major concerns will (be) major cross streets such as Kuykendahl. Hildebrandt would be the only possible long term road closure.  Hildebrandt is a key road for the district, he said. We would need to work on duration and timing for that if we decide we need a long-term closure.”

 

“We’re looking to start construction in the next 2-3 months,” he said. “Most of the early construction you’ll see will center around U.S. 290, I-45 and Highway 59.”

I was at this same Klein Board meeting.  Made the exact same notes to our GLF Facebook page... I thought the post above was a cut and paste of my Facebook post, ha.

 

Going to be running for a seat on said Klein Board this November, but much more to come on that.
