Slick Vik
The Metropolitan Transit Authority has scheduled three public meetings this month to gather additional public input on whether, and in what form, the transit agency’s payments to area cities and Harris County for road work should continue. The meetings will be Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Power Center, 12401 South Post Oak Road; July 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Ripley House Neighborhood Center, 4410 Navigation; and July 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Houston Community College-Spring Branch campus, 1010 W. Sam Houston Parkway. The Metro board is expected to vote Aug. 17 on the ballot language for a November referendum on the so-called general mobility payments.Sign-in tables will be available at each location so members of the public who wish to speak can register before the hearing begins. Each public speaker will be limited to three minutes.Comments also may be submitted by email to 2012gmpreferendum@ridemetro.org.

LTAWACS
Still? What's the problem? Are they still so ineffective in managing this money? Come on...
Slick Vik
Same as usual. People want transit money spent on transit, corrupt councilmen and leaders of "organizations" want GMP money for themselves.
