TheNiche
If spires and antennas count towards height, then its worth pointing out that Houston has at least a half dozen structures that are twice the height of this one (most or all of which are at the Blue Ridge Antenna Farm), and then there are probably about another half dozen that have occupiable space at or near the height of this one...and our space actually is occupied. Take that, Atlanta!
RedScare
How come Atlanta gets all the spectacular foreclosures? Why can't Houston do a spectacular foreclosure? Houston doesn't do anything right.
rsb320
20 floors less than Chase, but 10m taller. Looks like the cap and spire were added to get the title of tallest outside NYC and Chicago. First Interstate (US Bank Tower) in LA did the same thing with its crown in '89. We need a new super-tall, it's been 30 years. Come on Jerry Hines, let's reach for the skies.

rsb320
And of course, do it without spires or a crown! No, it could be topped with a bigass cross.
Houston19514
And of course, do it without spires or a crown! That would be ideal. But I would accept a spire to reclaim our rightful spot. ;-)In my dreams, Hines will do a career-capping "gift" to Houston, by developing a multi-use project downtown, including a super-tall tower. Something unique and ground-breaking in the way that the Galleria was unique and ground-breaking when Hines developed it.
