houstonartstudent
Anyone know the status of the project? HHN Homes's website is seeking electricians/painters/carpenters today - thought it was supposed to be completed Saturday?
sevfiv
From culturemap:But while observers and volunteers could barely believe the pace, by the show's standards the finish was behind schedule. The original Saturday reveal was pushed to brutally hot Sunday afternoon and then again to 7 p.m. — all the better to capture the house and the Johnson family in front of a picturesque sunset.[...]Though the façade and basics of the interiors were complete, volunteers were asked to stay after the reveal to finish up some details on the house, which faced delays throughout the week due to rain. And though the landscaping was complete, those in attendance were asked to text "Houston" and a dollar amount to 27381 to help fund the land purchase.http://culturemap.com/newsdetail/08-01-10-laughs-and-tears-for-extreme-makeovers-down-to-the-minute-finish/
kylejack
Pfft, if the land was already bought by the show then they can just absorb it into their budget.
dbigtex56
I wonder how the Johnsons' future relations with the neighbors will go. If pride and envy don't rear their ugly heads, there are some exceptional people on that street. It's called human nature for a reason.("If they'd only built a 3200 square foot house, maybe they could have fixed our rotted floor, too!")
