brunsonpark08
I heard a rumor there was once a movie theatre in the Post Oak Pavillions where Americas is located. Is this true? If so, does anyone have any pics or memories. If there was an earlier post regarding this theatre, I apologize.
Subdude
The movie theater was further north than Americas, as I recall on the other side of the Post Oak Pavilions. It was downstairs - after entering you went down an escalator to the lobby area. I don't remember when it closed but I'm guessing early 1990s. mkultra25
That would have been the Loews (later Landmark) Saks Center. There's an entry at Cinema Treasures for it, but there's not very much info, or any pictures, there:Saks CenterIt was a nice theater, with seats that would be considered plush by today's standards, and one of the last places that still had a functional set of automated curtains covering the screen which opened when the show started and closed when it ended.
