mkultra25 Posted March 23, 2009 Share Posted March 23, 2009 This was one of the featured listings on the front page of the Real Estate section in the Sunday Chronicle. I pulled up the listings on HAR and HCAD to discover that it had been designed by William Ward Watkin and built in 1923, but it underwent a major renovation in 1994 and the construction of an addition in 2003. What really caught my attention in the HCAD listing was the ownership history - Howard Barnstone owned it until the beginning of 1986, which would make it one of the last places he lived before his untimely death a year or so later. The online HCAD records only go back to the beginning of 1984 - anyone know more about the history of this house and how long Barnstone lived there?
