When was the plaza torn down? I remember in the mid 80's going to Panchos and seeing most of the store front windows covered up with paper.

When was the plaza torn down? I remember in the mid 80's going to Panchos and seeing most of the store front windows covered up with paper.

I don't remember exactly when it was torn down, but your story is sad to me...I grew up admiring that mall layout. Yeah...I noticed it, even when I was little. It was always kind of empty, kind of like a ghost town. The floors were always so clean and polished. Do a search on Pasadena Plaza within HAIF, I know we've mentioned it before.

I remember the covered driveway where you could pick your mom up

after she got her hair done.

I would like to know who the design history of that plaza. It was unlike any other mall, sat on a huge piece of land. The drive-thru drop off was neat...had planter boxes,think the plants were plastic. I was the '60's, you know.
