sifuwong
Restaurants are gonna make a bundle after IKE passes. People are gonna be eating out w/o power. Good thing Houston has alot of restaurants!!
RedScare
Except that the restaurants have to have power, water and sewer (and possibly gas) to open themselves. Assuming they can open, yes, they do gangbusters after a storm.

It is scary to hear that we might have to wait weeks before we get power.

TJones
Unless these restaurants are GIVING the food away for free, they won't do business. Must have running water, per the health code sifu. I heard over 2,000,000 without power right now. Supposedly 40,000 people on Galveston decided NOT to heed warning and stayed on the island. Anybody else hear about that ? Brennans won't do any businessIt just burned down Eh, not the first time they've burned down. TJones
that's not saying much. their food wasn't good before. Two things I have learned over the years. Don't eat at a Bar-B-Q place named after rodents and don't eat at a Bar-B-Q joint that is next door to a Funeral Parlour.
memebag
Last week (Wednesday, I think), we wandered over to the Napoli on Beechnut. The neighborhood didn't have power, but they had a generator running the kitchen and were serving pizza by candlelight. It was one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten.
