RayLSU
I thought Walgreens planed to build on Webster near Crawford.Didn't they buy that land?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>The Chronicle reported that the Walgreens was going to be on the La Branch, Webster, Gray, Austin block. Now it looks like it is the site of one of the Midtown Medical buildings.

However, it's been confirmed to me by various real estate contacts that the building that's currently being demo'd on the block south of spec's is indeed going to be the walgreen's we've been hearing of. Globalarb
Any word on what's going up here? There's an Amegy Bank sign up front, and the slab is gone, the parking lot is gone, and so is the little house that was to the south of both. I'm excited about this area. Even Elgin is starting to look good, East of Caroline to Chenevert.

YakuzaIce
mmmm....ground level garage doors. Mui attractive.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>It still looks pretty good. Is this the back or front? Also I guess they won't have trees right in front of the doors in real life.
MidtownCoog
Where are the mighty Oaks that were on the corner?
kjb434
The trees would be between the garage doors. Each tree represents a property line. There are 6 units
midtown_resident
I think we're talking about two different properties here. The location mentioned on the website is 118 McGowen - which is on McGowen between Helena and Albany...i.e. across the street from Oakwood apartments i think.I don't think this rendition is that of the property at Tuam/Chenevert

Has there been mention of 118 McGowen on here before?
kjb434
yes, like most townhomes in the area it would be at least two stories. I'm surprised it's not three or four.I've never seen that render before on here.
