Crap! Shouldn't a warning come with that?
I thought Barbarella was a movie starring Jane Fonda.
Oopsies!
Yes, Jane Fonda stars, and the dolls attack her

I know there are a lot of people who wish that this could have been built on an empty surface lot where historic buildings wouldn't have to be torn down, but there just weren't any empty surface lots in downtown Houston. Oh wait...
mmhmm....
It also doesn't help that there are a bunch of high class 'lords that buy up and do nothing.
Aside from Masterworks Development Corp/Club Quarters and their fantastic renovation of the Texas State Hotel (okay, honorable mention to the eternally empty Stowers that Spire Realty owns, and the horribly re-veneered Sanguinet, Staats, Hedrick & Gottlieb building at 806 Main - at least it is in use)
we have, in that general block area:
-The Davis Brothers and the Beatty-West Building
-Crescent Real Estate/Texas Co. Building LP and the Texas Co. Building
-Aaron Wiese and the Battelstein Building
-Montagu/Hotel Cotton - complete waste of a good building
-Bond Clothing - another waste, but stuck in the middle of everything
Way to go, guys.

I think the Barbarella dolls are some of the worst (or best):

^^ I drive north on Shepherd toward 59 (from Rice U area) often, and there is a house on a corner that has a nativity scene- I would notice it every time because it's pretty big. Managed to last through the new year, but this past Sunday little Jesus was gone...
But back to more on topic stolen plastic goods:
A friend's neighbor had the wheels stolen off their COH trash bin...

FYI - the implosion is scheduled for January 20th.
Yep, we've been hearing that date over the past month - morning i assume. Anything more specific? Special viewing areas?

This is the tax record ownership history:
9/1/2006: LG LAW AP
9/5/2002: BAYPARK 4615 POST OAK LTD
Like Katie mentioned, the permit lists Baypark as the owner, but permits are notorious for having previous owners listed, not current.
Baypark 4615 and Baypark Properties Inc. are owned by someone named Douglas D. Walt -
I can't find anything on LG Law...

To many people the term

Oh lord, not ol Bob again.
Well, "Houstonians for Responsible Growth, Inc." has some nice backing...folks from Camden, Houston Apartment Association, and Metro National...

Yep. Profit maximization. Niche?

I just registered for one today online.
I was wondering how the rail uses the card, but apparently the Q Box must be tapped before boarding, and Metro Police have a "magic wand" to wave over the card to determine if the fare was paid...

Can anyone tell how old this Apartment Project list is? I randomly found it while searching for something else
http://www.uptown-houston.com/economic/mar...entProjects.pdf
the PDF "created date" reads June 06, 2007 at 10:00 AM - but that may not be too reliable

If 71% of households shopped at wal-mart, and 74% of those buy clothing there, that's a large number - has much changed since '99?

Not only that, it all comes from the same factory! Check the Wal Mart khakis for a "may contain tree nuts" disclaimer.HAHA!

There will be a public park preview in March...
Houstonians are invited to preview Discovery Green, Houston

I overheard January 20th. I hope someone can back this up.

Ehhh. Kinda lame.
The photographer got whacked pretty hard, though, it seems. Broke part of his camera.
Here's the local report, narrated by Carey:

I think it would be alright to leave it in its own thread for now and see how it goes.

lol. We got an email yesterday saying everyone could go home at 3 but still get paid a full days work. I think most are heading out by noon at the latest thought.
But hey, I've been bored ALL WEEK, lol. It doubly sucks when nobody is on HAIF either.
Yeah, we're closing up shop at three, also...and I don't have to be back until Jan. 2...yay

Well, the saga has ended. This part of it at least. The sounds were magically replicated last week and i was told that they were normal. So i am SOL on the new front strut. Live and learn.

Does a microwave stay at a constant temprature from start to finish?
if you keep the heating percentage the same, it should hit your food with the same amount of waves (measured in Hz?)
when you put it on a preset like "potato" you can hear noises as the percentage goes up and down

She was on there? Not a show I watch.
