What a gorgeous picture-I love the way this house looks. If you look at the lower right hand side of the photo-you can see on the curb in front of the fruit stand it says "1900 Franklin".

Hi Firebird65, Jajajaj, oh no not in any way feeling butt hurt :0) I don't have too much time to surf the net and I finally had a chance and I ran with it. I don't mind that people have moved on or not read any replies or posts of mine. Every so often I get nostalgic and I remember something from my youth and I look it up and if I find what I am looking for-hey, the world is a better place to me. I figure if I am looking at a post that interests me, no matter how old it is-then someone else who hasn't been on awhile must be looking at it too. Or not-the sun is still coming up either way. Thanks for your concern and hope you are doing good after the storm. Feel free to write again if you would like to chat. ~S. P.S. I will be posting some pix in a bit-watch out! LOL

B.A. Shepherd Building At 219 Main St.

Hi Abrahan-I thought I remembered Pink Pussycat being closer to the edge of downtown. Maybe Congress and Crawford? Or maybe I am dreaming? It might have been another hootchie cootchie kind of place? I remember there were pictures (or paintings) of women in circle (not square) frames in various stages of undress. And around the corner on the left side next to this place was an adult movie theater? I am going to pass by there sometime soon and take another look and see if anything looks familiar. Will get back to you on it. -
Was The Pink Pussycat ever located elsewhere in Downtown? I thought I remembered it being nearer to Minute Maid Stadium-where there is now a bail bonding company. Also, was there an adult movie theater around the corner but next to it?

Was trying to recall if it was at the Foley house or the Cohn house where Annunciation preschoolers attended class back in the early 80s?- 80 replies

I attended Annunciation Catholic School in the early 80's, there are quite a few Annunciation alumni out there. And Incarnate Word Academy was our sister school.- 80 replies

Just found this article from back in May 2017 from the Houston Chronicle saying that a new food hall is being added in the building. Set to open early next year. Looking forward to going just so I can admire the inside of what used to be Texas Commerce bank. I remember going to Texas Commerce with my mom when I was little and thinking "wow, this must be what a palace looks like", lol. NenaE-I can't see the pix you posted and I am looking at Google maps aerial view of Telephone and Wheeler. Can you tell me where the foundations of the house are? I admit I have the worst eyesight. I can't even see the palm trees. I do believe I see the roads ?! Help please!

These pix are from 30AUG17-what do y'all think? Someone living there or not? Doesn't look very livable but there is a trash can and a mailbox.

Okay, really embarrassed y'all-I had orginally said the house had been demolished but it's not located on the corner of Milby and Wilmer like I thought. It's next door to the lot that is on the corner of Milby and Garrow. Posting pix to show you what is there. Pix are from30AUG17. Looks like the property is occupied.

Hmm, let's see-there was Craig's, Margo's La Mode (where I bought all my school clothes), Wild Pair and Mark's T-Shirts to name a few.
