  1. A new store opened up here. It's called Worth & Co. Has anyone bough their furniture? Is it any good? Weird having a surface-lot oriented development in the heart of Uptown/River Oaks. Any chance of this parcel gets bought and becomes a mixed-use development? Hopefully (without) the Jack in the Box. Photo I took today.
  2. Apparently the Starbucks behind is open. Perfect location for employees of this office complex! Photo I took today of the building.
  3. This office complex is underrated. Nobody ever talks about it. I'd imagine it's prone to flooding since it backs-up against the bayou. At one point there was supposed to be a small multifamily conversion here. I don't think it ever happened? Photo I took today.
  4. Stopped by to take a quick photo. This particular Gables complex is massive. I like how it sits.
  5. Another Hines development in The Galleria/Uptown/River Oaks. The building is iconic to the area. As the usual HAIF saying: I'd love to have 50 more of these spread out in the area.
  6. I can never get tired of taking photos of this skyscraper. One of a kind for Houston! Reminds me of something you would see in Miami. Photo I took today:
  7. Stopped by the site today. Haven't been here in a few years. What's taking this prime real estate a long the West Loop South in River Oaks/Uptown so long to sell? Yes, the parcel sits next to a bayou. Just use civil engineering and build a flood-proof development. Think the TMC3/TMC Helix Park development. Photos I took today.
  8. This was a fun build to watch. Good memories at this site. Random photos I took today. The rear-end. I like how there is (still) building signage, even in the rear.
  9. I'd imagine this La Quintta Galleria must do good business to stay open during and post Covid. Usually they close, get rebranded, or even converted to mulitfamily housing. Prime real estate here. I'd imagine in 10 years the land value will be so high that a mixed-use development would happen. Photos I took today:
  10. I finally stopped by this Class-B hotel off the West Loop. Photos I took today:
  11. Stopped by the site today. Apparently still for sale. The economy might be bad if nobody wants prime West Loop South property.
  12. Forgot to post this skyline view of the Westin Galleria Hotel located at 5060 West Alabama Street. Actually called The Westin Oaks. Photo I took the other day:
  13. I actually love the blue color "inserts" on this office tower. Photo I took today:
  14. Photo of this beautiful building that I took today:
  15. OkieEric- So true! Stopped by today and noticed construction signs from Texas Medical Center itself. You don't see that often. I was told plans for the site are being finalized and the information isn't able to be released yet. Exciting to hear that terminology. It appears more than just a surface lot is in the works? They added steel support beams by the front entrance. I'll assume it's only temporary and needed for demolition. The inside looks imploded.
  16. While randomly driving in the Texas Medical Center I noticed the building signage Jesse H. Jones Pavilion so I had to stop by and investigate. I never knew about this place. The Blood Center also has their Main Building on site. Photos I took today:
  17. The Holiday Inn Hotel NRG Area-Med Center located at 8111 Kirby Drive had a weird conference room or chapel on the side of the hotel. Just a small building attached. Maybe an event space. Photos I took today:
  18. Today I drove past the Extended Stay America Medical Center/NRG Hotel located at 1303 La Concha Lane. Some photos I took:
  19. Noticed a boom with someone cleaning the unique windows. Photo I took:
  20. I really like the small "cottages". They're all different bright colors. I took these photos today.
