It's not about quantity, it's about quality. Who wants a bunch of one word or smiley replies just to up your post count?

I'm impressed.

Tell your friend to open a restaurant instead, he'll fare much better in the Heights with food than music.

if workers are hanging out after hours, you can call the police non-emergency line and report, loitering or suspicious people hanging out, or if they are drinking you can report that too! You can make these non-emergency reports anonymously.

Best Houston forum out there. Period.

There was A LOT of trash, but you know what, by 8am the next morning Westheimer was totally clean, except for those places that had barricaded themselves with fences and cleaning crews couldn't access. I was rather impressed with the city's response.

What is the place in the 5th picture with the big patio and what looks like wood-stained columns?
Baba Yega's Express - I think they are only open during lunch (and breakfast on the weekends). It's located right next door to Baba Yega's.

Plunked down a few bucks for a nice seat and went to see The Return of The Rocket. The Astros lost, but we did set a Minute Maid Park attendance record! Click the link to see my photos!

My vote is for Cafe Piquet in Bellaire. From where I live, it's a little drive, but it is worth it!!

The only time I go to Berryhill's is every once in a while for $1.99 Monday fish tacos, they also have a .99 tamale special but I don't know what night that is... their quality dropped after expanding from the Revere/Westheimer location and it hasn't been the same since. I had numerous bad experiences at the Revere location and the Post Oak location. Their fried fish tacos used to be the absolute end all, be all of fried fish tacos... now it's really hit or miss. So sad, cause they used to be really good.
As far as Antones franchising, that was a horrible thing to do. The quality of the franchised locations don't come anywhere near the quality of the last couple of remaining original Antones. The only Antones I eat at are the one in Rice Village and the one on Bellaire, all others are chain/franchised and they just don't follow the same recipes as the original locations.
Tsk tsk...

I really wonder if Coco's Sushi is open, it doesn't look inviting, plus they don't have a sign yet. I walked past there today around noon but didn't attempt to open the door and I didn't see any cars there.

Be sure to let b4-u-eat know about it...
here's the restaurant specifically: Pho 518

What area of town do you live in?

I think if you own the property you should be required to clean it, but I don't think you should be fined.

CVS is the new nail salon/cell phone store/dry cleaners of Houston... they're putting them up everywhere! ENOUGH!

I emailed local TV Newsreporter Jeff McShan with KHOU CBS Channel 11 about this thread and the strange markings and he sent a news helicopter out to the markings today to look at them from the sky! They ran a brief story about them but not clarifying why they are there! Here's the raw video that the helicopter took:
Wow! Thanks! That footage is awesome and saves a few people from getting their heads blown off by some pissed off landowner with a shotgun!! LOL!

you can host them at http://imageshack.us
there's also places like photobucket and flickr
but imageshack is probably the easiest.

Why is there lens flare on all the lights? Are you using a filter or is this the result of a dirty lens?
