  1. There was A LOT of trash, but you know what, by 8am the next morning Westheimer was totally clean, except for those places that had barricaded themselves with fences and cleaning crews couldn't access. I was rather impressed with the city's response.

  2. What is the place in the 5th picture with the big patio and what looks like wood-stained columns?

Baba Yega's Express - I think they are only open during lunch (and breakfast on the weekends). It's located right next door to Baba Yega's.

  3. The only time I go to Berryhill's is every once in a while for $1.99 Monday fish tacos, they also have a .99 tamale special but I don't know what night that is... their quality dropped after expanding from the Revere/Westheimer location and it hasn't been the same since. I had numerous bad experiences at the Revere location and the Post Oak location. Their fried fish tacos used to be the absolute end all, be all of fried fish tacos... now it's really hit or miss. So sad, cause they used to be really good.

As far as Antones franchising, that was a horrible thing to do. The quality of the franchised locations don't come anywhere near the quality of the last couple of remaining original Antones. The only Antones I eat at are the one in Rice Village and the one on Bellaire, all others are chain/franchised and they just don't follow the same recipes as the original locations.

    Tsk tsk...

  4. I emailed local TV Newsreporter Jeff McShan with KHOU CBS Channel 11 about this thread and the strange markings and he sent a news helicopter out to the markings today to look at them from the sky! They ran a brief story about them but not clarifying why they are there! Here's the raw video that the helicopter took:

Wow! Thanks! That footage is awesome and saves a few people from getting their heads blown off by some pissed off landowner with a shotgun!! LOL!
