I'm glad I lived in Montrose at a time when people like that would've likely been laughed out of the neighborhood.

Yeah, those days are over... I still think if people want quiet they should move to The Woodlands.

They have also taken down part of the middle fence, so the whole lot will be used. It was just weird that it was seperated. The crane base is up and standing and I assume the rest of the crane will be assembled soon!

Yup... I hear they are tearing down the whole corner of the block there for the new Whole Foods/mid-rise housing/shopping center!

These photos were taken this morning on my way to work!

But they have split the lot. I am not sure what's going on. One half of the lot is fenced and the other half still has HUGE trenches. I am not sure if the full lot is being utilized or just part of it. It's very weird the way it is fenced.

Man, I can't wait to see more of that red thing!

I too, don't have a lot of faith that this building will be saved. Get ready for your new strip center, Clear Lake... that nail salon, subway, cell phone place and cleaners you've been waiting for is on its way!

I am going to miss their key lime pie. It was so good!

That island range really has opened a new world, I don't always have my back to the world when I'm cooking something. During parties, it is always surrounded by people just chatting...

Some of those shoppes around there are gonna be hurt by this closure and here's why... how many people do you think got coffee/tea/etc then decided, "Hey, let's walk over here and see what's in this shoppe" - This type of walk in traffic is going to cease, cause most folks will just drive by instead of stopping in to shop.

YAR!, Give Up, Failure and DUAL are street artists who are legit and original.

Should've been a complete ban from the very beginning.

Austin and NYC both have bans in place and those places are doing just fine.

I need some help. I post regularly at a website called citynoise. It's a very cool website of photos and posts about where you live. Here's their description from their site:

Houston was recently ranked 5th in top cities by number of posts. I am constanly in competition for the 5th spot by the Canadians in Montreal, Quebec and this is where I need your help. I need folks to post more pictures and stories about Houston!! Citynoise will host your images for you, all you need to do is upload them (follow the rules please, no images wider than 600 pixels), add a title and be sure to place "Houston, Tx" in the location (without quotes). I'm sure with your help, we can get Houston back in the 5th spot and push Quebec further back!

Now, we don't need to flood or inundate this site, but if you have a great picture and a story or description that can go along with it, your help is greatly appreciated. This is not a competition by any means, I just want more folks to post Houston stuff so we can keep our city on their frontpage!

Not a restaurant, but Sig's Lagoon has tiki inspired knick-knacks and Tiki Magazine!!

Spec's in Midtown on Smith is where it's at.

I've never had a bad experience at Mai's, the food is always good and I don't have a problem with the staff. On the other hand, the last time (final time) I went to Van Loc the place reeked of magnolia air freshener which made me queasy and the food was just not that good.

What's in the usual rotation?
