no, i can see that but also saw a phrase new construction in one article. doesn't the garage exist already and they are just leasing it? either way they are doing three blocks with aerial attachments above fannin and sanjac and one to the garage. -

Quiet Zone For Trains
musicman replied to firstimehomebuyer's topic in EaDo, the East End, and East Houston
noisewise the people i know in the area while they do complain about the horns, they say just having the trains go through the neighborhood is just as annoying noisewise i see how the bridges may eliminate the horn noise, the noise from the trains themselves will be almost impossible to eradicate. i think the grade separations would be even more helpful for keeping traffic moving. i know on the eastside, there are some areas that are blocked for quite a while. -

sounds like you're not the Pavilions type person. that would be an embarassment to the project. -

LOL that is funny! so what kind of thugs do you want? well now that bayou place is finally going to rent some of the space west of bagby (earthlink or whoever was moving there) things are at least improving there too. that space has been empty since its inception. -

there weren't that many units to affect the downtown residential population substantially. -

no confusion. a thug will harass bartenders, create problems for customers, etc. i could care less how people are dressed. money is NOT what matters. if a thug is harassing customers, then the owner (of a place like warren's, etc) would ask them to leave. it's not about money. it is about keeping your good customers. -

there are certain sports related places that would more likely attract thugs just as there are those that would more likely to attract families. I can see that fox sports grill might attract a thug element just from the nature of the store. That is exactly my point. i never said location matters. the espnzone could go anywhere and attract thugs. -

i personally see the espnzone, nike, etc attracting more of a thug element. that is something that needs to be avoided otherwise the project wouldn't be successful long term. i think the restaurant mix is nice one and could be great as long as access is easy. -
East End Future Projects
musicman replied to heightsfan's topic in EaDo, the East End, and East Houston
they retop streets quite a bit just for maintenance purposes. they've let some of those go pretty bad (i'm thinking mckinney specifically) and a retopping is needed. my parents were just redone in the last 6 months. -

i put an email from the president of the development who said the website was incorrect. when people still speculated after that, well i guess they are living in a dream world, not reality. like i said earlier, i think the restaurants will be a good draw as long as parking is provided. the bus at my corner goes right there which is good. -

i found this on visithoustontexas.com Houston Pavilions Announces Restaurant Line-up Houston Pavilions, soon to be downtown Houston's premier entertainment, retail and urban office hub, announced that it has secured six new restaurants to add to an impressive lineup of tenants that already includes Houston's first House of Blues
