Also while i dont have a photo, they put the "Whole Foods Market" large letters/signage up in front of the building/on top of the entrance...really cant wait to have this open just a block north west of my office and a block south east of my apartment!

  3. Common Bond had a friends and family event yesterday during the westheimer street party festival...place was super small but cool and shocked to see that forever they had announced it would be a late hours establishment, but new signs say closing every night at 7pm!?!? anyway, they said opening for sure May 15th.

  4. Randall's on San Felipe and Sage as i have lived and worked within 1 block of it for the past 16 years and my Randall's card helps keep the prices low enough for me to be happy...and Central Market for specialty items or when shopping for a party or special occasion etc. Although...i am super excited about the upcoming Whole Foods on Post Oak which is just a couple of block away from where i live and work, so that will probably take over the role that Central Market plays! Love Whole Foods but the others were always closer and more convenient!

  5. www.wearecommonbond.com and www.facebook.com/wearecommonbond

Supposedly finally opening this month (April 2014)! Crossing fingers!

This upcoming cafe has already been touted as Houston's forthcoming "world-class" bakery due in large part to chef/owner Roy Shvartzapel of elBulli, Cyrus and Bouchon fame. Joining that esteemed culinary figure are Drew Gimma, Tony Stein, Jillian Bartolome and Alec Bartee, among others who have been working on recipes for months now. When the shop was announced last summer, Shvartzapel said that the name stemmed from the idea that he and his chefs share a common bond: "We are united in our passion to bring an outstanding product on every level to patrons from all walks of life." Once Common Bond opens in the 3,600-square-foot space across from Agora it will feature more than just sweet treats; there will be a full menu of savory dishes as well as beer and wine.

It really will be THE new cool place in Montrose...if not all of Houston!

  6. right...i agree as i was honestly shocked that a fast food chain was going on that huge plot of land... but again, love story of the guy that started RC as told here www.raisingcanes.com and they are "all fresh never frozen" which is awesome as they really do have amazing chicken tenders (and toast)!!! but you will be happy to know that just a walk down the street you will soon have the awesomeness that is Doc's Motorworks at the old Wendy's location swtsig!
