I shop at that Randall's (and have for 26 years) and recently (a couple of months ago) when they redid the entire store's flooring i asked and they "claim" that they are not going anywhere anytime soon hence the remodel.

nailed it with that band-aid comment!!! haha! 

it is blowing my mind how much development has happened in this area on this side of the freeway since River Oaks District was created...wowsa

can we now get an upgraded (and cheaper) gas station to that adjacent corner OR just do away with one altogether? 🙃

i'm kinda torn on that parking garage design...and can't decide if its the design/pattern of the lattice work or if it is the colors...

i guess it is better than nothing but still..................

I got to work the Bjork Digital installation...and met her that way. It really was an incredible experience seeing all these cool innovative ways to experience her music and visuals...the virtual reality room and video blew my mind

me and another worker did sneak away to watch her dj set but wish it would have been a vocal performance as well!

This location opens in less than a week! Training is taking place as i type... Look for them to open Jan 25th!

I went to Half Price this weekend...they are almost cleared out of all merch except lots of vinyl and dvds.

the guy at the door (my buddy bucky was off) said that they have not been able to find a new location but are hopeful to find one this year...

he said that they just have in their mind what they want to pay and are able to afford and haven't found that as of yet...

i wondered if anything was going to ever become of this "mystery" plaza...

it has been what i thought to be empty for quite a long time

with all this new development happening on lower westheimer i guess it is just a matter of time...maybe this will be the year................

Yeah it was craziness to see lower Westheimer closed those few block all weekend...absolutely no one knew what to do haha! Lots of cars filled with puzzled people at the traffic lights 🤪

drove by the plaza this morning and they were taking down the huge Luby's letters/sign on the building...

RIP Luby's and hello new Kenny & Ziggy's! 

I do believe that ste 8 is the former My Fit Foods so that means it is next to Crave Cupcakes and will make use of the little cool park with the stone animals...

I think the former Starbucks needs to be something like a Voodoo Doughnut or similar to keep the food theme and make the most use of that little park/seating area as i don't want it to go away...

I have a feeling that with the HUGE projects building on Westheimer at Montrose (both the northeast side and the southwest side) the sidewalks will be improved there so then it will just carry on down lower Westheimer...streets and sidewalks. (*crossing fingers*)

I have tried to ride my bike on the sidewalks of lower Westheimer and omg.....................haha!

I am excited about the new projects to come and hopefully everything else will fall in line soon enough!
