  1. there are 5 3-story units and 5 2-story unites completed, however the last unit in the 2-story block is not occupied. As for the rubble, who knows. HPD and the City of Houston doesn't seem to care about cleaning up anything. I've given up on them and actually sent a pic to Mayor White's office asking for some explanation as to why we haven't been able to get that cleaned up.

    United Airlines

exactly. We really dont lose one single thing from exiting SkyTEAM.
  3. this will be awesome!!! Can't wait for that..........do we know what else will be in OPP??? Anything?? i thought a restaurant/coffee shop or somethign along those lines........... does anyone know what the rental occupancy is looking like??
  4. forget high speed rail. why not use this money to improve the infrastructure of subway/light rail lines in the metro areas of DFW/HOU. That would be more beneficial for everyone instead of putting rails between the cities.

I love the press release QR had yesterday...............article quotes 3x day/21 per week!!! (there is a second forum topic that has the link)
  7. 3 per day.........that would be awesome!!! However, we know that is not the case!!
  8. FAVORITE: DEN - Can anyone say anything bad about this airport? HKG - Beautiful airport/scenery with plenty of options on food/retail. DISLIKE: CLE - Such little entertainment, and overly cramped in terminal C. Terminal D just doesn't do it for me either. HATE: PHL - What a freakn dump!!
  9. thats the thing............the banks should have loaned the money. Thats what the banks are for. And building this type of property in one of the richest areas in teh country should provide comfort to the banks in loaning the money. However, the banks dont want to loan out the money, they want to buy more banks instead.
  10. I dont understand why some of these are being pushed back. High Street should have continued. You are serving a clientel that is not truly being affected by the current economy. Upset the Heights Blvd project couldnt get financing. Bull ____ if you ask me. Thats the problem with all the money used to bail out these banks. Instead of handing out loans, banks are using that 700billion dollars to buy more banks, and that is not what the bailout money was intended for.
  11. I still think it was a mistake not to include the residential. Having those living directly above the site will only help keep people in downtown. I wouldn't put the economy as a factor for not building apartments...........I love the way Gables has their facility at Kirby/Westheimer...........you couldn't ask for anything better!!
  12. forgive me..............I have forgotten...........but why was the residential portion of HP cut???
  13. under 230K??? maybe 1 or 2!!! Young prof do want to live downtown, but they dont want to buy. Downtown needs more downtown rentals in the 1100-1800 range.
  14. but the young urban professional crowd is what we want.......those who will be goign to the bars constantly and dropping mad cash on jager bombs and clothing. Having more of us young professionals can also attract more shopping downtonw.
  15. sadly...........I think they are pricing those apts. way out there.....I can't see it filling up with those prices.....lowest starting at $1400/month, and probably about 1 or 2 at that price.
  16. PF Chang's would not be good.................b/c my a$$ would be planted in there 7 nights a week!!!!
  17. ESPN Zone and Nike Town would be huge!!!! That will attract people specifically to HP
  18. with so many of our passengers being exempt from the first bag fee, I dont see it being a problem of losing any of our customers. Its well known, that this charge is only geared towards teh people who buy the hotwire, cheaptickets, etc type of tickets who search the internet constantly looking for the lowest fee. With an anticipated increase in $100 million dollars, its well worth this charge!!
  19. yeah right.................in the words of my fellow michigander Kid Rock "we were smoking funny things"

do we know how the Brown line will be built on Harrisburg when it goes underneath the train tracks near Dowling?? The city just spent all sorts of money on new trees and fake art sculptures and leaves no room for putting in tracks without cutting the traffic lanes from 2 to 1 lane.

Unless you have a flashing red or blue light on the top of your car, you're not that important. You can wait an extra 15 seconds for 100 people to cross in front of you on a train while you're sipping you latte in your air conditioned SUV. okay, well first off, i dont drink coffee. Secondly, I dont drive to work, I either ride my bike or take the bus. thirdly, as busy as it is downtown with the traffic, this will just put more of navigating through downtown at more of a congestion. Why would we want to do that??? Why would we want to risk more accidents with drivers/walkers/bikers??

    METRORail Green Line

yeah, we might even be able to walk outside for 2 blocks at a time during the summer months if it were elevated!!!! How long are you gonna have to sit at a light where it intersects with the red line??? its bad enough that you have to stop when both the train and the cars are going straight.

    METRORail Green Line

Yeah really. They should build it elevated through downtown to help alleviate all the traffic congestion. Not to mention, the amount of traffic/train accidents just shot up a ton wtih this new line!!
  24. one would hope so. that area is so congested, I just can't imagine how congested it would be if they put light rail at street level. Once you put in BLVD place, forget it. I'll travel on sundays at 8am only over there.
