That GT-R puts the T in Terrible (looking). I have no love for that beast and the one armed sheet metal tech who threw it together. I am sure the inside is cool though.

All this small car talks saddens me... Is a lovely V8 or V10 the new Rolex?

Improvement Ideas Sought For Kirby Dr.
MidtownCoog replied to Subdude's topic in Traffic and Transportation
My solution is best: AVOID KIRBY AT ALL COSTS I was at the Jeep dealer last Friday at 5:00! Never again. -
But couldn't they at least spruce it up a bit? Seems like it went downhill after Brooks Brother's left.

My wife is thinking about trying this place. But the "hot room' Yoga. Not exactly what she was expecting but may try it anyway.

St. Arnold Brewery Company At 2522 Fairway Park Dr.
MidtownCoog replied to wernicke's topic in Historic Houston
That building was the HISD Food Warehouse (or something to that affect) up until just a few weeks ago. I thought they were just off for the summer but I guess not. -
Americans still make a better truck than Toy(ota). The Toy wants to be an F150 so bad you can see it in the design. Remember the commerical when "they asked how to make American trucks better"? It's not like Toy has great MPG unless you drive 52.5 in the slow lane late at night. Real truck buyers never bought Toyota to begin with, which is why you see a 4% decline vs. the American trucks.

I heard those X6s have problems with oil burn. BMW became lost after the fugged-up the 5 Series.

So Fu Kim did have a sign. But now tht Fu Kim is demolished, I can't see where it could have been. Were these underground?

And is it really overkill to have a few flower shops near the world's largest medical center?

Kinkaid nailed it. Not to mention, it's fun to walk through the coolers in the wee hours. But man, it's hard to pick pretty flowers with a buzz.

I really do see the other UH campuses being able to fill the needs. UT and A&M are close to capacity and fully funded with limited results on a national scale. Not only do UH and Houston need to think big, but so do our small minded state legislators. As far as the tuition hike, I think it comes to $245 at 15 hours. $245 is not going to keep anyone out of college unless they are looking for an excuse to drop out.

Imagine Hardy Yards as the new UHD campus. The biz school was the first step. This city and UH need to start thinking BIG!

UH should be Tier 1 and UHD and UH Clear Lake can always fill any void in between.

So now they have a "wet floor" sign with a taped message saying "no climbing" on the de Buffet. We are truly a bunch of animals.

This place sounds like party central. Anyone ever been? Narcotics, 150 arrested, 500 in the building serving booze in an after-hours club. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/5787545.html

Who remembers when Choate (now Dixie Farm) was a shale road?

I suppose. I wish BMW would again give us something to get excited about. The next 1 Serice and X6 are boring... But I digress.

Or for El Patio's parking lot...

Houston's "financial district" (thankfully no silly acronym for that yet) is Uptown, right? I don't consider it downtown.
