I guess Tycer is focusing his efforts into Kraftsmen since several of his other concepts failed, and the new planned restaurant never got off the ground.

They do this on museum day and it works pretty well. I think they're using Metro for that. -
One problem with separating the bike ROW from the street for long stretches is safety. I know, especially in the evenings, that I feel a lot safer riding near roads where there are people passing by than on long stretches of unlit bike paths. I have good lights on my bike, but they aren't exactly illuminating all the dark corners and bushes.

No lunch. Sausage reports: Piggy Smalls (pork) - fine, kinda dull and normal. Elk Apple Pear Port - Good Buffalo - Good Apple and sage (vegan) - Quite good Scrooge (Duck) - Excellent "Mexican Business" some kind of meatless chorizo, vegetarian - Not that good, in my opinion. -
Bryan Caswell of Reef continues to excel on this season of The Next Iron Chef. It airs every Sunday at 8. He talks about Houston every chance he gets. http://www.foodnetwork.com/chefs/bryan-caswell/index.html

I voted for Prop 2, but if they wanted more votes for it, I think they could have used a more accurate fix for the problem. Like say, decrease residency requirement for the district for persons who at least lived in the city for the previous year. The way it was written was kind of like using a shotgun to swat flies.

ah, so it is!

Well, Dallas County is probably more urban. Dallas and Fort Worth make up 75% of Dallas County, but Houston only makes up 37% of Harris County.

Have you considered that the Perry ad saying that White killed a cop could have had an effect?
-
Okay, now we're getting somewhere. Anyway, it seems like the public just doesn't like them. Apparently they have never survived 15 different votes.
-
I wonder why. Do we have more police? Lower temperatures this year?
-
Feel better? No. RedScare impugned the motives of the traffic lawyer backing this and I'm questioning whether that's a credible objection or not.
-
It's just the red light cameras that don't go on your record, right? A cop-issued red light ticket is still a moving violation, right? I don't see where this is cutting into the business of the traffic lawyer. He can continue to defend he-said cop-said red light tickets, right? The only way I see to reconcile that is if cops are writing fewer red light tickets because of the cameras, which I doubt is happening.
-
Why would a traffic lawyer be losing money on people being cited for red light running? Isn't that just more business opportunities?
-
I am asking what will be the effect of posting these officers, not who will be responsible.
-
When/where was the fact proven? Red light cameras have been shown to increase rear-end accidents. Does a police presence do this as well? Why would Houston crime rates go up because thugs, as you call them, move from one part of the city to another? Were they not committing crimes in their old neighborhood or something?
-
Before voting, shouldn't we determine first whether officers on every street corner will increase different types of accidents or not?
-
So anyway, 10 is good. Not as good as 9, but good.
