Mockingbird Station in Dallas is an intermodal transit center.

They are great. They are really called trolley buses because they run just like light rail but on wheels. I always wondered why American cities do not build more of these except for light rail. It is a lot cheaper except for tearing up the lanes for a rail. They're all over Europe.

i really hope that downtown does not lose its spotlight as the nightlife district in houston, but i have a feeling down the road it will lose its nightlife entertainment as quickly as the galleria stole from the traditional downtown retail district.

guys, i think they were serious when the downtown association released that plan for downtown in the next 20 years. i am loving all the neighborhood amenities coming to downtown to make it more of a neighborhood rather than an office park.

cool. it seems like it is catered to the car just a little, but it would be nice to see surrounding hermann park.

from your respnse i think it is appropriate to ask what is your role in this project? just curious.

everything does not need to be updated you know. It's called character. What would the French Quarter be today if it were updated from its original 17th century, or however old it is, charm or Boston updating its Colonial era neighborhoods. It would be nothing special. Just like any other city. I think you would appreciate some buildings more if you thought differently. Houston would probably be a better city today if a lot of the history was not torn down or gentrified in downtown. where do you think all those parking lots on the edge of downtown came from? or how some parts of fourth ward lost some of its charm, yes it had some charm to it, through the overly gentrified sterile townhomes you see there today? just a thought.

i don't think any of this would happen. just doesn't fit the dome realistically. but we can still dream. but anyways, concerniong that waterpark posted, isn't that the concept for Schlitterbahn (damn i can't believe i spelled that) in Galveston?

I agree with West Gray. We need party spots that are more centralized and not spread out like the rest of Houston's attractions. Go Downtown.

i'm sorry but ha not interested enough. like i said before other than the airport i have no interest for the north side when i lived in houston and when i come back to houston. but seriously what is in greenspoint but some dull box scrapers surrounded by a decaying mall? if you have been there you would say the same thing.
