No mention of Exxon Mobil coming to Springwoods in 2023? Granted, it should have happened back in 1989, but it's some nice momentum going to the rest of the year...

It's distinctive, I'll give it that...

It's not the Texas A&M Innovation Plaza? (Actually it appears the Tower is in an Access Restricted area)

Would proximity to the private school hinder potential bar/entertainment venues on the parcel just south of MMP?
HSPVA really hasn't, as far as I can tell...

$41 million is not a small investment and 260,000 sf is not a small building. I'm guessing no renders yet.

The only problem with it being called the Allen is that there is Allen Center downtown...

Half that block is supposed to be the automated parking garage.
So the obvious name for the place is "The Automat"...

Haif says 42 floors, Emporis says 43, and this fellow says 44. Anyone know how to find out what the number actually is?
We don't even have a name for it...

That building's a whole lot taller than I thought it was going to be.

There do seem to be a whole lot of these egg cartons wedged into unbelievably cozy spaces, especially east of downtown.

Yeah, my comment was a little tongue-in-cheek. But that has been happening as the large mass of buildings built between 1975 and 1985 lose their appeal to big money tenants. The difference between us and Dallas is that we have a lot of deep-pocketed tenants downtown who are happy to pay more rent for space in a new building, whereas in Dallas, the deep-pocketed tenants are in Frisco, Addison, and Irving, and no new office buildings are getting built downtown.
Maybe not a skyscraper, but there's plenty of opportunity for a residential high-rise...

The original news article in HBJ didn't show the development renderings, just a surface plan. Ten floors.

Thought I'd boost the signal on this one again, since an announcement showed up in the Houston Business Journal for the permits for this building today. Still 12 floors.
The original HBJ article from 2019...

Yeah, it's worded funny... like I am going to just download my water this morning from the cloud. It's just district boiler water controlled by a central center/server and control room. Think just like district cooling enwave is centralized cooling, Teal is that for hot water.

To the far right you can see where they raised the grade where the first building (building F) will go. It’s raised about 8 feet. Curious to know if the intention is to raise the grade of the whole phase.
Remembering my school days, imagine my amusement that they raised the grade to F.🤣

Oh, does this not sound like a Modera development. Eleven buildings and five garages? I thought they were big on single-block projects.
