Looks like somebody changed title of this thread to 30 stories instead of 39. Has this tower been reduced in the number of floors originally proposed?

Before I get excited, what are the chances of this actually getting built? I saw today we may be looking at a recession soon.- 1,032 replies

That's still quite a bit of height. This is the biggest skyscraper since Heritage Plaza. "Only 15 floors" is still a long ways to go and will be magnified the higher up it gets.

Amegy Bank At 1717 West Loop S.

I count about 20 floors. Looks like maybe another 4 floors to go plus the crown which will add another 5 floors or so. It's amazing how much this building DOMINATES the west loop. I wonder if Fertitta's tower will have the same feel?- 558 replies

Went and found the link for the oxblue camera. Getting a much closer look at the floors now that it's over 30 stories up. Can also see other projects rising. http://oxblue.com/open/Hines/609Main

That's great news! Still hoping that somebody can capture a picture of ANZ at IAH. Been looking at going back down under and the fares from Houston to Auckland aren't terrible ($1650-$1800)

Latitude Med Center: Residential Tower And InterContinental Hotel
wxman replied to Jax's topic in Texas Medical Center
I think it's important, to an extent, for us, the COH, to have unfishined projects in the process of rising when the Superbowl comes to town next year. I think it would look good on the city to see construction cranes on every corner like there is now indicating a robust economy that is struggling to keep up with the population and job growth. In February 2017, 609 Main should still have cranes over it along with this apartment tower, perhaps the hotel next door, Texas Children's expansion tower, Fertitta's tower on the west loop and God only knows what other projects will be coming out of the ground at that point. What other projects will still be UC at that time? -

Btw, the old building, when looking down on it from googlemaps, was designed to look like an over-the-shoulder camera (a 1960s/early 70s over-the-shoulder camera).- 49 replies

If only it was 30 floors taller lol. Even so, it's a great looking building! Far better than the 10 story block of masonry that stood there before it.

This project is a damn joke and it's depressing to look at. Please just let this project slip into the bowels of this forum never to be seen again.

We had a GREAT experience on Air New Zealand. We flew from LA to Auckland and on to Sydney and thought the American carriers paled in comparison to what ANZ offered.

Did anybody capture the ANZ 787 at IAH last week? Just curious...

Looks like a lot of shops in that strip center close to the corner of Rayford and the North Frwy (where Krabby Daddy's is) are beginning to close up and leases aren't being renewed. I'm not sure if this development is moving forward or not.

In that last picture, it sort of gives you an idea of what 6 Houston Center would have looked like given the same general location and the building being about 30 stories tall now. Not much impact.

This thing is finally starting to come along fairly nicely now. Excited to see the finished product!

Market Square Tower: 40-Story High-Rise At 777 Preston St.

Agreed. Looks like they are working on the tapered floors. I suspect this tower is as dominating as it's going to get now.- 1,894 replies

wxman replied to nolaboy's topic in River Oaks/Upper Kirby/Greenway Plaza/Bissonnet
I count 19 floors-ish so looks like another 5 floors to go. Keep in mind that there is also a crown on this building so it'll have the feel of a 30-story building when it's done. Already driving down the west loop it looks a helluva lot bigger than it is. I mean this thing dominates!- 558 replies

Condominium Development Planned On North Shepard Dr.
wxman replied to CREguy13's topic in The Heights
So this is 3 buildings with the tallest, 35-story tower, being in the center. I wonder how tall the other two towers will be? -
Ugh, I hate when big projects are brought from the bowels of this forum. As much as I like this William's Tower cousin, I doubt it'll ever see the light of day---simply based on nothing. Just a hunch.

None of the above maps service the North Frwy corridor or the northern burbs. Goes to show just how of touch they are. Not to mention, I'm fairly certain that the North Frwy is either the first or second most congested in the city. It sure as hell isn't the Estex.

What do you mean go to 12? The tower went from 35 stories to 12 stories or their going to build the garage and the first few floors of the tower? Thanks in advance for the info.
