  18. honestly, chinatowns are great in cities. it shows the diversity of the population and just a look into another's culture. however, i prefer going to a chinatown as oppose to a chinatown coming to me. my point is: i wouldn't utilize a chinatown shopping center on an everyday basis but i would use a shopping center with a wine bar, multiple restaurants and just random stuff. i purchased property here because i knew midtown is gonna be the next big thing, not little saigon. i'm surprised people are disappointed about this project because it involves tearing down some outdated shopping center. you obviously have bad taste in neighborhoods and should consider moving to the east side of houston. midtown isn't the place for you.
  19. ummm. most of the asian shopping centers are rundown like this one. why do you care for them? they are an eyesore
  20. is it possible crosspoint properties staged this "Mix at Midtown" project so it makes the area look better. Therefore tentents are more willing to sign a lease at their current project (24hour fitness building). Seems like a good stradegy. Just seems kinda fishy since there are no renderings.
  21. is there anyway we can just kill this topic? i think we all can agree that randall's is not going anywhere right now. and frankly, i hate logging in to haif and checking out the midtown section so i can hear about how fresh the produce is. isn't there any other news here?
  22. are you kidding me? midtown wouldn't be ____ if it wasn't for the fact that it is surrounded by downtown, river oaks and montrose. the third ward border is midtown's weak point. so any development (i.e. townhomes, retail or hotels) is good by all means.
