  1. perspective of the Saturn V would be lost.

I know Saturn V has to be inside to perserve it, but could they stand it upright somewhere in Houston, and then incase it in a giant clear glass box, kinda like the glass pyramid in Galveston, but a box instead of a pyramid? I'm trying to switch from night shift back to day shift, so I might not be making any sense. But it could be like Houston's Eiffel Tower or Statue of Liberty, or something.

  2. Any rumors as to what the skywalk is gonna end up in? Are they going to be building a department store of some sort (maybe a Nordstroms?) or are they going to build space for more smaller retail stores, in that grassy area? Or is this the area they were talking about buidling an aquarium?

  3. Who in their right mind would want to live on the ground level witht eh feeder road of I10 right there ???

I have no idea what they plan on doing, but I lived in a Post complex once where the ground level had furnished apartments that you could rent by the day. They were intended for people that had family visiting, they could stick them in one of those, instead of putting them in a hotel or whatever. That way no-one had to actually live in the ground floor ones.

  4. Read the last two pages of this thread.

LOL! That is just cruel. I wouldn't even make my worst enemy read the last two pages of this thread.

Lawrys did indeed pull out, but considering the number of "mixed-used" projects going up around town, I'm sure they'll find a home somewhere. Three Forks steak restaurant has replaced them in the Pavilions.

  5. What will happen to this thread once Pavilions opens and is no longer "Going Up?" Will it disappear or move to another section? I don't think I've ever paid attention to a thread long enough to see what happens to it once the project it's representing is complete.

Anyways, if this place is having trouble with leasing retail, I imagine "retail" is waiting to see if people will actually come before they decide if they want to open a location at Pavilions or not.

  6. This seems pretty close to the Whole Foods on Kirby, but I guess inner loopers love them some Whole Foods. I like certain speciality items from Whole Foods, but I can't do my full on grocery shopping there, you can't find things like Doritos and Oreos. Anyways, so is this pretty close to Regent Square? Hey, if this and the BLVD Place one are built, there will be a Whole Foods triangle, kinda.
