Anyone know more about the development near Baybrook Landing where the new Home Depot will be?
http://www.woodmont.com/index.cfm?FuseActi...p;PropertyID=55
It's all the same development, will be all shopping center from there northwest to ElDorado.
... Dick's sporting goods, Maggiano's restraurant, On the Border, Mimi's cafe, Johnny Carino's, I think thats about all that is being designed now, or that I am confident is going in.

Ed Wade said the lineup will probably look like this...
1. Bourn CF
2. Matsui 2B
3. Tejada 3B
4. Berkman 1B
5. Lee LF
6. Pence RF
7. Wigginton 3B
8. Towles C
I think something like this will be more effective.
Bourn
Pence
Tejada
Berkman
Lee
Wigginton
Matsui
Towles

Let's step back a minute. I've been anti Vince Young since the beginning, after all I am an Aggie. However, regardless of his stats, you have to admit that the guy knows how to win. It may be ugly, it may be unorthodox, but the guy can lead a team and win. I would take his "it" factor over many other QBs with better ratings. With Young on the field you just never know what can happen and can never count his team out. And that's hard for me to say.
Ahh waiting for this one. The majical IT factor.
The Titans defense is what wins games for them. ala the Bears in spite of Rex Grossman.
Pacman Jones won more games last year for them than VY.
I do think Jeff Fisher and Norm Chow are some of the best at preparing their teams for Sunday.
If Only we had that kind of effort here. Go Texans.

The title of this post caught my eye. This was the name of one of the hotel I stayed at in Costa Rica. Same type of achitecture, beautiful place.

Thanks for posting this. Do you have the link to the website where it's located? I was wondering if I could get a larger blow-up of the picture since some of the retailer names are difficult to read.
I got it off the Cinco Ranch property owners website. I think you have to have an account to log on to it. If you PM me your email. I could email it to you.
Or I suppose I could try and make it bigger and re-post it. It is a pdf file.

I haven't seen this posted on here. I really like the potential for this development. Very nice looking.

A home depot will be built at the intersection of Eldorado Blvd. and I-45 on the northbound side.
one complete shopping center has been designed and planned for 10 years now on the northbound side of I-45 between Bay Area & Eldorado.

The only things I think we know for sure are another bank, a Starbucks, Panda Express, Radio Shack, Chili's and Petsmart.
and Wachovia and Amegy banks, a pad site for a footprint equal to 20,338 SF

I would wholeheartedly agree with you here, as this solution would not have infringed on anyone's rights, yet accomplished the stated health related goals. However, just as the smoking lobby has its own obvious agenda, the anti-smoking lobby has its own. The second-hand smokescreen is just as nefarious as what the tobacco companies put out. It is just that those on that side of the fence choose not to see it. The co-opting of science and scientific studies for political purposes is very dangerous. The EPA is one of the worst. Your use of their edicts to prove a point means little if the science behind it is suspect, or worse, in the case of second-hand smoke, nonexistant.
Are you saying there is no scientific proof of second hand smoke?

Correct me if I'm wrong, the bar owners will be fined if someone is smoking in there establishment. What will be the cost to the bar? Who will hand out these citations? Health inspectors? Meter maids?

I ride a bike just like this that I had since my child hood but with the Tuff II's then get in the truck to go roofing.
That sure is a "happy" looking bike.
seriously though you don't ride that do you?
do you have the little plastic things that clip on the spokes to make noise? the ones you get out of the coco puffs box.

So now I am a fascist. Well, that's not so bad. Fascists are pretty snazzy dressers, and boy can they march.
Yes, I demand that a bar owner provide a healthy environment that is not full of airborne carcinogens. I also demand that his employees wash their hands after using the restroom. I demand that restaurant owners keep meat, eggs, and dairy at proper temperatures. Maybe a bar owner's way of conducting business as he pleases involves spitting in the glasses to clean them, but I doubt arguments about his "rights" will cut any ice with the city health inspector. I don't think arguments of "if they don't want to get diarrhea, they can choose not to come here" will get him out of a citation. I guess the health inspector is a fascist, too. Maybe he'll save a seat for me at the next meeting.
No business owner has a right to conduct business "as he pleases". As soon as he opens the business to the public, he has a responsibility to provide a safe, healthy environment for anyone over 21 who wants to patronize him.

Texans just signed veteran WR Keenan McCardell and P Matt Turk. They have released several others.
this is unconfirmed and now denied by McCardell. they did sign the punter though.
per rotoworld.com
Texans released RB Darius Walker, FB Cory Anderson, G Atlas Herrion, C Enoka Lucas, CB Derrick Roberson, P Eric Wilbur, and LB Zac Woodfin.
Texans signed P Matt Turk.

This part of Westheimer is one of the few areas in Houston where you regularly see lots of people walking on the sidewalk.
and funny that on the other end of westheimer it's the polar opposite. Unwalkable stripcenters full of useless shops that for the life of me I don't know how they stay afloat, carwashes, pawn shops, gas stations, and horrible chinese buffets.

What a disastrous first series. Say something to make me feel better.
1. the cardinals got swept too. and even though they were playing the mets, they scored 2 runs in the series.
2. our starting pitching has looked great to pretty good so far.

Shaub is no Carr. People keep forgetting that.
you're right he may be worse.
and this unknown is what bothers me. his draft gradeout puts him below Carr he was drafted in the third round and has been a backup for two years.
generally i don't mind the swap at the spot but they now have signed him to a fat contract on potential and named him to be a starter. this is equivilent with how you treat a first round draft pick QB. combined with how they let Carr go as a favor to him is not good business.
Shaubie has to take this team to the playoffs immediately. and they should be immediatelly better, the team went 6-7 in their last 13 games and were close to winning 2 more.
