  1. and funny that on the other end of westheimer it's the polar opposite. Unwalkable stripcenters full of useless shops that for the life of me I don't know how they stay afloat, carwashes, pawn shops, gas stations, and horrible chinese buffets.
  2. I agree, perhaps the divide line between the 2 area should be closer to 249
  3. The company I work at is looking to hire several Autocad techs. This is in the civil engineering field. We are looking for people who are willing and able to learn this field and our standards. Autocad training/proficiency or degree is required. This is in the Westchase area
  4. we always stay there. reasonable rates, centrally located, big casino, one of the nicest pool areas in vegas, not posh at all but it's clean. wouldn't you rather spend your money somewhere else than on a room. thats the way we see it though. best overall value on the strip if you ask me. if you are on a budget and don't mind doing it we sat through a timeshare presentation at one of the places on the strip and got free tickets to 3 shows. I think we saw a showgirls/follies show, an impersonater show at the stratosphere and a majic show somewhere. I think they let you pick your tickets, but we had to sit through some high pressure salesmen spill for a couple of hours. you'll want to see the dam. go downtown at night and see freemont street. If you want some cheap gambling tables anytime of the day ($5 blackjack) hit O'sheas casino right next to the flamingo. there is some nightclubs you could hit. When I was there the one at new york new york was popular with the tourists. Other than that if it's your first time walk all the casinos they all have something to see be it tigers, shopping, ongoing shows, and drinks.
  5. If I had to guess, and I do, I would think that there at least 2 schools on that list from KISD. You are bringing all of southeast Texas' school districts into the equation to make a point that does not hold water. people either pick one suburb to live in and send there kids too or they live in HISd and send there kids there.
  6. How is this a good example of Zero Tolerance. You seem to be contradicting yourself. you even wrote this later... "Hopefully the school district will do what is right for the student." Do you know what zero tolerance is?
  7. good post just kidding, seriously, I totally agree and we could all use a little more " agree to disagree " mentality when the disagreements get to a certain point. I have often found myself thinking differently then a lot of my friends or co-workers but have never had a problem getting along once I realized that people are as stubborn as I am usually.
  8. in other words: crap definition... This sure was a strange topic to post on considering the circumstances. Good luck Papillion. Sounds like you have your hands full these days.
  9. I am a little confused, this kid that gave your son the money. who has labeled him special needs? are the police now doing an investigation of your son as well?
  10. A guy from my work is on that cruise this week. How bizarre. And three weeks ago a guy from my work was on the cruze where 30 people where held up and robbed in jamaica. My company only has 25 employees. I don't think I am going on a cruise anytime soon. How odd.
  11. their are all kinds of rules regarding setbacks that vary based on the type of row or access easment you are platting, whether it will be public or private, contain or have adjacent public or private utility lines and where it is located. You want to look for chapter 42 of coh subdivision code for rules and regulations regarding platting for this info. I think you may be able to get it from the city's public works website.
  12. I'm still wearing my Biggio jersey today!! It was an awesome experiance at the game last night! Something I'll never see again I'm sure!
  13. Or south, Just east of the intersection of Fry RD. and FM 529 there is an existing trailer park development.
  14. a GIFT. never look a gift horse in the mouth.
  15. last time i was there i saw a women washing her kids underwear in it!!
  16. I was pointing that out in reponse to the ignorant anti-suburban-everybody commutes 30 miles to work-ignore the fact that not everyone works in a central business district-mentality that was expressed in the previous post. Of course people get on and off the tollway at different points. from cinco ranch I ride in on westheimer to the westchase district about an 11 mile commute. I'm usually at work in 20 minutes I usually use the westpark on weekends when i make the trip to pearland or somewhere else on the south side.
  17. Updated tenant info for Villagio finally found a tenant list for this development. It looks like it is getting close to being finished

  19. yeah someday I'll be a grumpy ole son of a beach, but at 31 now I'm just a prick
  20. I don't like to have to tolerate things either! What stupid group starting falling in love with this word. I have beliefs and convictions. I have all the free will I want to dispise the actions of others. There are things we all hate or disagree with that doesn't make us fanactical. Unless we behave in unrational acts that infringe on others. so call me a hater. or call me a free thinker. I am intolerant and i am ok with it. its not always a bad thing And having a sticker that says truth not tolerance. How does that promote intolerance
  21. Lance was the best thing Houston Sports radio had. I like Charlie Palilo too on the other station. Going to miss Lance for sure. I'm sure he will land somewhere.
