  1. i read that dillard's and foleys has signed on to anchor this project. this is good for pearland. link: http://www.cblproperties.com
  2. great picture, just wonder why they didn't have the roof lit during the playoffs.
  3. Happy fourth to you too.i'm sure most people disagree with what i say on this forum, but we can all agree that your service is truly honorable.
  4. It seems like a no brainer to choose houston.
  5. Well let's see. I-35 to downtown(excuse me I'm getting sick.Whereis the alka seltzer) the trailer park off I-35 the wig shops on every corner the graffiti in market center the constant blindness of the ugliness from grandprairie to garland the downtown that you don't want to be in at night the crime rate that ugly light rail train their sports facilities(which most are located in another city) new cowboys stadium(jerry jones' attempt to copy ours) Big T Bazzar( need i say more) william's chicken( thank god for Imodium AD) The rednecks The ghetto people(how could i forget) The fashion( a pink eight -button suit isn't uncommon) the language (it's hot in herr) the lack of trees the one toothed lady at the waffle house the perception that all of dallas is nice because you only visited plano. the weather(aren't they in tornado alley) I'll stop here, but i'll continue later.
  6. well I-35 from desoto to downtown then to 635 is real ugly to me. why don't people see that?definitely doesn't give me the impression of newness.
  7. Dallas does have a lot of strip malls. Why is it when people go to dallas they somehow become blind and when they come hear they seem to have just come off of Lasik surgery. Why is that.
  8. Icalled the number today and a guy answered and said gorundbreaking will begin this october.
  9. My point exactly.Try saying something negative about dallas,he'll defend it quickly.but we are not expected to do the same.Hmmm.
  10. I was passing Highland village this morning and noticed that they are under construction, adding an extension onthe east side. The new section had a sign displaying a new restaurant called RA. This should bring some stiff competition to P.F. http://www.rasushi.com
  11. So maybe its City Hall that's the problem and not suburban living?
  12. i would agree with you if we had zoning.seems like you've got more to worry about.
  13. With all due respect, i don't agree with your view on suburban living. what are the advantages in living inside the loop? where inside the loop shall we live? Should we live near Highland village where residences have the luxury of hearing a loud train passing several times a day in their back yards.should we live near the budweiser plant...where there are poor neighborhoods, high crime, and a commute twice as long as traveling to sugarland?should we live in the loop where it is not uncommon to have schools located near liquor stores and topless clubs.when you couple that with getting a whole lot less for a whole lot more money, doesn't sound so great to me. no one is calling the suburbs heaven, but they do offer cleaner streets, better schools(view hisd statistics to compare),and a lot more for a lot less.sure the commute is longer, but the time made up "becoming a slave to your house" actually isn't a waste of time. it was that valuable time with my parents mowing the yard, painting the house, and cleaning the pool that contributed in making me the productive citizen i am today.Until houston solves it's drainage issues, poor performing schools, crime, litter problems, high motgage and high taxation issues;living in the loop is out of the question for me. This discussion is simple. It all comes down to choice. choices made according to a specific person's needs and wants. That's what makes this country great.
  14. why does dallas have two(virgin megastores)and we don't have one yet?
  15. well why would you allow a negative article about houston ,but no negative feedback about dallas. what did you expect? you know this forum.
  16. don't you have a dallas forum to support?stop wasting your time here.
  17. how about the pot calling the kettle black? how dare you question the integrity of this forum. You know well as everyone else that if the article was about dallas ,you would do everything you could to defend it. am i right? Even to the extent that you are willing to send a personal threat. my friend (713-214) that is unstable behavior.
  18. Don't get me wrong, this is a great discussion about the homeless, but please keep up the great updates on the park renovation.
  19. could you elaborate more on what is an intermodal transit center, where exactly north of downtown it would be located and how soon groundbreaking will occur on the proposed rail line extensions.
