Can mods merge the thread for Frost Town Brewing into this?
This is the same brewery project from the same group as Industry Brewery. The owners changed the name to Frost Town last year.

So I was doing some digging and it sounds like the space has been leased out to a church...
My assumption is that it's a shorter term lease a la a church that meets in a movie theater or school gym.
No. Railway Heights is a mercantile development. Railway Heights Market is the food hall and marketplace within Railway Heights. Other businesses such as co-working offices and in this case, the Story church have signed on to operate in the Railway Heights campus.
Plenty of people think Railway Heights is a food hall not knowing it's the name of the entire development that will include different phases & projects.

It does. But Mosley could lease this to another business too.

A food truck park is going in here. It's called Houston Grub Park and is planned for the surface parking area of the former Sam's Club at 1615 South Loop W, across from NRG Stadium and the Astrodome.
It may be part of the BayouTech Hub project. The posted renderings previously shared above depicts upcycled shipping containers and possibly food trucks. This may be part of that planned project.
Houston Grub Park was announced yesterday. It's a project from a group most locals know as the Houston Black Service Chamber. The group has several Black Service Chambers in various metro cities in the US, which promotes majority black-owned businesses. The group also launched an app similar to Yelp called Hungry for the Culture. It connects people to majority black-owned restaurants and food trucks in various cities.
Construction of the park will start soon. From the Houston Black Service Chamber yesterday:
Over the next four weeks, you will see the construction of the park take place. Fencing, tents, landscaping, our offices, and of course the food trucks.

More about Houston Grub Park, 1615 S Loop W, from the Black Service Chamber:
There are some distinct differences between HGP and other parks, the most noticeable being location. HGP is not tucked away behind any structure, it is centrally located and easily viewable from 610. The goal was to find a place that brought and sustained good energy. We believe this location does just that. We wanted the park to be a place where members could meet friends for great food while being casually dressed. You can sit under one of our tents or you can bring your own chairs so you can sit near your vehicle and talk with friends for hours. We are a family-friendly park that is also excellent for tailgating. We are an extremely short walk to the NRG stadium. We are also an excellent location to tailgate for Astros games. We are right on the rail line.
The size of the park (over 30 trucks and 16 vendor tents) along with 300 parking spots makes connecting with friends a breeze. HGP will also have a truck (container) dedicated to the sale of alcohol with no minimums or auto-gratuity added to your bill. Again, you can sit under one of our tents or “tailgate” with your friends after receiving your order. *We prohibit the consumption of alcohol not purchased at the park.
THE DETAILS OF THE PARKThe EntranceUpon entering you will notice multiple areas to scan QR codes. This allows you to see the layout of the park and where to find certain trucks. It also includes a layout of vendor booths, which has some of the most talented vendors in the city. Our staff will also wear t-shirts with QR codes, so you are never more than a few steps from getting detailed information about the park, trucks, and vendors.Truck and Vendor ProfilesHoustonGrubPark.com will have up-to-date information on food trucks and vendors. Each will get a profile with the details of their cuisine, products, price points, and link to their online ordering system (if applicable). Profiles also include links to social media, reviews, and YouTube videos.Customer Service BoothThe HGP customer service booth is always open. We want customers to know we are here to help resolve issues in the moment. If a customer has a problem, we will solve it immediately. Customers will not leave the park unhappy.Cross Promotion MarketingThe Black Service Chamber is dedicated to the growth of Black business. We will continue this mission by cross-promoting non-restaurant businesses. With every order from a vendor at the HGP, customers will receive a promotional item (print or sample) from a local black-owned business. The item is placed in the to-go bag in a nonintrusive way and allows the customer to view it when time permits.- 9

This is likely part of that planned project.

1221 W 20th St is the former home to Garden Expo, a garden nursery in Shady Acres.
The property was listed on Loopnet. However, the listing is no longer available because the property is off the market.
A country western-themed bar & dancehall is moving in. The honky-tonk bar is Electric Cowboy. It's a bar chain that previously operated on Houston's westside.

402 E 20th St is a 0.26 acre lot that includes a 5,733 SF structure built in 1950.
Heights Upholstery is located here. According to Loopnet, this location has served as an upholstery & fabrication facility for over 35 years.
The owner listed the property for sale a while ago. Recently, the listing shows it's under ccontract.
County records recently filed a warranty deed with the current owner transferring the property to an entity connected to Gary Mosley.
Mosley is the proprietor of Creek Group. The hospitality group operates several Austin-themed bar & grill concepts primarily in the Greater Heights area. A few of those include Onion Creek, Cactus Cove, and Canyon Creek.
I don't know what Mosley has in mind for the property. It is a possibility he could renovate the building for a new restaurant, bar, or something else entirely.

Punch Bowl is no longer coming to 1818 Washington.
Lovett is splitting the two story unit into several units.
One of the tenants to sign on is Berg Hospitality. The group led by Benjamin Berg operates B&B Butchers next door.
Berg Hospitality applied for a TABC permit listing a restaurant named Benny Chow at 1818 Washington Ave.
I have no clue about the concept or an opening timeframe.

The Loop, a California-based churreria, will mark its entry into the Houston market with a franchise outpost in the Rice Village area.
The Loop will be located at Hanover Rice Village as a ground floor retail tenant. The address is 5216 Morningside Dr.
This is the Instagram-famous looped churro & soft serve shop that inspired similar concepts such as Houston's Red Circle.
The franchisee said he's hoping to open this summer.

Conservatory has leased (or is in negotiations to lease) a unit in Oxberry Group's Crossing at Midtown. This the food hall from Company Nomads.
After the group's relocation plans to East Village in EaDo fell through (replacing Chapman & Kirby), I was directed to an entity filed soon after signaling a possible next move. Some time this spring, Conservatory Midtown LLC was formed.
Conservatory will occupy a unit (or units) in building A, shown on the above site plan. I don't know if it will take up portions of the first and second floors. It's possible. Previous articles announcing the food Hall's move to East Downtown referenced the group's plans to utilize an outdoor patio space. This development offers that option.

Since no one updated this thread regarding the upcoming renovations to this property, here is the latest:
Common Bond is opening their second on-the-go concept on this property, 3210 N Shepherd Dr. This was reported by the Leader in late June.
The portion related to Common Bond from the Leader article:
Now Common Bond will bring the same kind of drive-thru concept to Garden Oaks at 3210 N. Shepherd Dr., previously Kim’s Service Station.
The CEO of Common Bond, George Joseph, said the company signed its lease Monday and that the concept won’t come to fruition until six months or more.

The Kirby Group is building another beer garden and bar at 3905 Washington Avenue in addition to Emma Jane. A Bank of America drive-thru was previously located there.
The beer garden is called Buffalo Heights Bier Garten. It's on Instagram as well at @buffaloheightsbiergarten.
I don't know if Emma Jane will be an all day cafe, but it will house a coffee shop and bakery.

Good news! Now I'm curious if it will somehow incorporate the former prohibition space. I walked by last weekend, and workers were re-configuring the patio fencing at ground level to join the two areas. Previously the railing was separating the outdoor seating between the two establishments.

The Black Service Chamber has several large private Facebook groups dedicated to majority black-owned businesses in US metro cities.
Someone in the Houston group shared a couple of images & linked to the listing on Transwestern. The admin, who also heads the Black Service Chamber, removed them. He asserted the renderings weren't an accurate portrayal of Houston Grub Park, despite the person citing it's a preliminary mock-up of a food park imagined for BayouTech Park in promotional materials.
So, the food park may possibly have a different design altogether.
