  1. So have we established a metric for what amount of rainfall equals a flooded park and trails? How often do these occur? What is our expense to repair these damages? At this rate, all of the East End project money will be spent providing maintenance to the twice a year flooded west side.

When people are drunk you get the truth out of them.

Its interesting too see the land that Midways owns and how that will be developed vs the land that Cathexsis owns and how that is developing.

She owns a bar across the street from this property,. She bitched about everything having to do with the old KBR site. I was like, you don't realize the gold mine you're sitting on. I'll buy your bar when your ignorance takes over... lol

The Bar across the street (The New Potato) loves this lot and maintains a very good relationship with Midway. The owner is a guy named Paul and they built the bar with the plan to establish an early footprint in this area. Best hidden bar in town!

  4. Why get light rail when you can have a Gondola to Downtown? Hopefully plans are released soon. They have been suspiciously quiet lately. If you ever need an update on what is going on, you just need to go to The New Potato across the street from the site. The owner Paul can fill you in.

  5. I worry about Houston's ability to Innovate. We are very good with production and profit making enterprises. Taking ideas from other locations and making them profitable.

People will point to O&G innovation but a lot of that is driven from Licensors located in Chicago, Germany, Italy and other overseas locations. I dont know enough about medical to say if this is really the location for innovation or if there are other places in the country that do more. We should never stop encouraging innovation but I dont think a high priced innovation coordinator is the answer. The more natural progression that is happening on the East End seems like the better option.

  6. Well, its a nice looking office building, I would hate to block the public's view from the freeway. The apartments will still look nice. Hopefully all this expedites the buildout of redemption square. On another note, with the quick buildout of this and the the Class A apartments at Fall Creek, me thinks that there may be more future potential growth in this area.
