  1. Looks amazing. Glad this is the first thing you see when getting into town (although this was taken on the way off the island).
  2. Source with additional photos and drone videos: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0EcMjz7GPSTGJLt3byX138jNWkujfc3GKrvNxaS62yX4JHruUjgqcSXDfxCWo5ToCl&id=100000548055334&mibextid=Nif5oz
  3. I would agree that nothing says On The Grind. 1550 OTG is most likely an abbreviation for 1550 On The Green. And On The Grind appears to only have San Antonio area locations, so expanding to Houston would probably be announced in some sort of press release.
  4. Isn't that how most right turn only lanes work? Better to ruin an axle than plow into a car trying to merge onto Allen parkway.
  5. The Planning agenda shows this company as the developer. https://www.kimley-horn.com/
  6. Looks like it will be an electric vehicle charging station.
  7. The lounge/club/restaurant at 1120 Dennis is now open. It's called Nomad Midtown, which is a second location for this business (apparently there is one in the Galleria area). From Google reviews it appears to be a BYOB hookah lounge with dining.
  8. The bike lane was originally two way on the north side of the street, but the base is in the center. And I doubt the pole would be between two directions of bike travel. After some researching on intersection design, I'm GUESSING they will split up the bike lanes to match car lanes (safer) and the pole will actually be part of an island for the crosswalk. Whoever is correct gets a lifetime supply of internet credibility!
  9. Seems like a bad spot for a light pole. Does this mean the street is being closed to cars?
  10. Saw these in a Zillow listing. Looks like they're also rebuilding Avenue S.

  12. The side facing San Jacinto will have no windows and be covered in "decorative tile." No clue what that means, but it's a bummer for interaction with the street. Probably trying to cut costs. The Sacco entrance is moving to the parking lot. They plan to be moved back in within the next 2-3 months. The suites at the corner of San Jacinto and McIlhenny are being roughed in for tenants, but no leases have been signed yet.
  13. The worst part is that structure was completed within the past five years.
  14. This project had been mentioned before, but I can't find the post. They are converting the gymnasium of St. John's Church into apartments. This may be referencing the Temenos Place II apartments, which are on the block just north of I-45. Edit: confirmed that a new flyover and off-ramp will encroach on the Temenos Place II apartments.
  15. If this is possible, then just about anything is. Three Marriott brands in the same building for some reason. https://www.google.com/maps/@29.7554589,-95.3662685,3a,48.9y,281.37h,97.64t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1suZyl8YkMh56xavvIDae8RQ!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu

  17. Scaffolding is back up along Austin. This seems to be moving at a brisk pace after a long period of inactivity. Wonder if they finally landed a tenant.
