  1. SWEET! can you post that article? RUEHL No. 925 has alredy assigned a store number for a Houston The Galleria location, Custo Barcelona is supposed to open in The Galleria by 2007 but I don't know where I was thinking in the new Lord & Taylor expansion. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Ermenegildo Zegna, Porsche Design, Hugo Boss, or Diesel.
  2. please Macy's is notting to brag about now that it will be located in every mall average and ghetto in Houston and Texas. I like the stores in Market Street but hate the architecture it looks cheap and I belive with a little more money and creativity they could have done a better job
  3. 6th st. is not that great I hate the fact that almost everynight you will most likely see a fight, those kids are still with that High School drama, it gets anoying after a while. The girls are always enjoyable though ... as for the homeless people in The Pavillions I don't think there be a problem I think they nolonger hang out in downtown, they've move more towards midtown. but if there were to start hanging out near The Pavillions, I wouldn't mind having my taxes raised for the city to ship them to The Woodlands or some other place LMAO
  4. I've been to The Woodlands Mall & Market Street several times and I've never seen a Neiman Marcus or Saks Fifth Avenue or for that matter a Macy's so no I wouldn't say you'll find the same stores. I disslike cookie cutter looking buildings, in my opinion it makes its self look cheap. its ok for a theme park but not for a real main street.
  5. am all for it I love skating and no The Woodlands shouldn't get one like it because skating is an urban sport not a cookie cutter sport LMAO but by the time it gets build (if it does) ill be 100 years old LMAO
  6. Memorial City Mall dropped the Foleys name and up went Macys yesterday
  7. I really liked what Galleria IV did to the entire mall as new stores re located or closed new stores opened in those vacant spots. I always HATED the old store fronts especially those in Galleria I the all black with the stores name in white letters, do yall know what I'm talking about? was that a mall policy that the stores had to follow??
  8. theres plenty of highrise apt. around The Galleria. Bloomingdale's should take Macy's space not some tacky apt. building either that or more stores I'd kill for an Ermenegildo Zegna, Hugo Boss, Porsche Design, and a Diesel store too. as for a cinema I dont think its right for an upscale mall like The Galleria it will just attract mall rats
  9. You can't clone a tree!? Don't you need blood or cells to do that right??
  10. Are those buildings going to be built around the mall or are they going to be attach to the mall? They're too cookie cutter if you ask me
  11. Yes a much larger store. From what I heard is a two story 22,000-24,000 sq.ft store. I hope not they should built more stores and restaurants that will somehow connect to Galleria II either that or a Bloomingdale's.
  12. Former Lord & Taylor space currently remodeling to include Kona Grill, The Oceanaire Seafood Room, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, Border's Books, and a new J.Crew store, among more new stores. The expansion said to open before the 2006 Holidays. Since the expansion is going right in Galleria II in the "luxury corridor" I will imagen new upscale stores opening there. As for the Macy's space I have no clue, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Bloomingdale's or more stores anything but a cinema or highrise apartments.
  13. Yeah right!! "Dallas more cosmopolitan city" LMAO, True Dallas does get stores before we do but what's the point if they don't even last, just look at what happend to Willow Bend more than half of the stores that first open there were the first in Texas and now they're gone except for D&G. Dallas Galleria sits on a nasty part of the city. Northpark is real nice and does have stores we won't have in Houston anytime soon but the stores are soo small. I think the owners of Northpark just wanted to have a good store line up even if the stores are only big enough to sell socks and underwear. Well I know for sure Barney's CoOp is opening here on April 20 wich I will enjoy, and does eny one know when Bottega Veneta closed its Galleria store?
  14. I don't really think there's problem with its location. I was flabbergasted when I last went there. I still remember when it first open up, its full of life, people, and stores. Pacific Sunwear, Vans, A & W, Dapy's, EB Games and Putting Edge were all there and now theyve been replaced with no-name stores that belong at Nothwest or Northline. I hate to say this but I think the Marq*E is the future Northline. Memorial City, a couple of exits away from Silber Rd. is opening a Cinemark soon. I just hate what the Marq*E has turn into I mean you just have a feeling you're gonna get mugged when you're there. LMAO
  15. Most of the Starbucks I've been to are open from 5 AM to like 10 or 9 PM. Most of my family lives in The Heights and every time I visit them I've NEVER seen a Starbucks, I'm kinda surprised I bet Starbucks would make a lot of money if they would open somewhere near Heights Blv. Insted of that CVS they should have built a Starbucks, or in 19th street where Harold's and the antique shops are located. There's also a lot of vacant spots in "Uptown Heights" (on 19th st. infront of the Chase Bank) where Curves and UPS Store are located. There's also vacant spots on Heights Blv. and Katy Fwy where Subway is at. Well incase yall know of a Starbucks near the Heights that I don't know of Tell me because I LOVE there Mocha Flappuchino with Wipcreme
  16. I hope they do, c'mon THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH why not? I've been to Disney World and it is kinda childish but hey its a great place to take the family, and with a Disney Park Houston's economy will BOOM IMO. C'mon a 3rd coast Disney KEWL.......
  17. Yeah we need one as the FATTEST city in America it wouldn't hurt to atleast have one LMAO
  18. Isn't Dominion on Post Oak luxury Apts.? Why would they let people like that in there (free of rent?)???????????
  19. Yeah Lucy Virgin Megastore bebe Mexx Laundrys Lucky Brand House of Blues bebe Sport BCBG are all opening there among others N*E*who WOW this is GREAT NEWS I knew this was gonna happend, hey 9 pages of the forum paid off, I can't wait till it opens, I hope this does attract a lot more people Downtown.
  20. I dought that there only building 3 restaurants and a Borders but then again its too small to built more stores. I was hopeing Macy's wouldn't become a residential building insted it should become stores that's the only thing that would help Galleria 3 because I dought a residential building would help........
  21. I keep on hearing "Tilman", Who or what is Tilma?
  22. Incorporated? Does that mean it isn't part of The Houston Metropolitan Area?
  23. Yeah somewhere between Sugar Land and Southwest Houston, Market Street is "Disney-Ish" as in too cookie cutter LMAO
