I gave it a rest after Saturday night, only to come back here and see people blasting my old posts on Monday morning. Sorry I haven't been to more events at DG, I guess living three hours away doesn't help. Like I said before, a simple sign, "No Reentry Tonight," would help prevent the "poor decision" of thinking I could walk away from a park and then walk back to it.

My bad dude, didn't mean to attack you in any way. My apologies.

And maybe warn people going out that they won't be able to get back in because it's getting dark and going to be bedtime soon.

Great day overall, just annoyed by the overmanaging.

You're annoyed by over-managing? The management was by far above world class, if that's even possible. To go a full week without incident is incredible! Just imagine if the downtown population grows to that level consistently, at least we know the city of Houston can handle it like nothing. And yeah, parks reach capacity, big freaking deal. Not too difficult to understand. It's wasn't a bad thing that park was filled to capacity.

The park site looks like it would need about at least 6+ more weeks to be finished IMHO. They never worked weekends so it never looked like they would finish in time for ESPN to move in. ESPN is just now starting to set up their site downtown and won't be broadcasting from there till Wednesday. I was told the on air talent is working the Pro Bowl now.

IMHO that's ridiculous. They should have had this park ready at least a week before SB kickoff.

Not sure how tearing down an existed structure and replacing it with another is infill when downtown has dozens of entirely empty parcels.

The Houston Club wasn't great, but it was an example of mid 1900s architecture which we lack in this town.

The building was falling apart from reports. How much of that is true idk, but if they were having serious issues then I can see where the building wasn't worth saving.
