Just wondering how many suburbs have you all noticed where there are multiple streets with the same name. While trying to find a friends house out in Sienna I noticed a street named McMahn (sp?) way, then the next was McMahn court, then McMahn street, McMahn avenue, etc...
Is this common?
(kind of off topic)

i went by the sales office over the weekend. The product is actually very nice. Definitely a step above Randall's other projects. He has over 60 deposits for only 75 units.
Wow, he already has 80% reserved? I wonder how long till construction begins. It seems there was more of an interest in this building compared to empire.

Actually, if you look at the display, there really isn't any room to put a clock over Dallas or Chicago.
Houston seemed like a good fit.
???
The clock is pretty much on top of Dallas, and shift it up some and it would be on or near Chicago.

Stop lyin to yourselves, this project is as dead as the shamrock. Do us all favor and kill this thread too.
Oh no, semipro has hacked someones account
But seriously what proof do you have of this, I would assume none.

I can't, the image is bigger then my screen, so I can't crop it because when I try to, it will only go as big as my screen, which is only like 1/4th of the image. I'm just glad Tinypic.com shrinks it to a much lesser size.
Just try and find a different editor where you can zoom out. I use photostudio 2000 SE, it is easy to use for cropping/resizing pics.

Wayne Dolcefino, ace reporter, STALKER ! That guy is 10lbs. of crap stuffed in a 5lb bag.
What does that have to do with this topic.
If you want a different ipod how about the new video one. The screen is awesome, I was using a friends the other day.
For me I want to get a 42" plasma TV (or around that size, I have waited way to long to replace my current TV), and find time to finish building my computer.

Well I am sorry for blaming METRO. And though its taking over the whole nation those cities that are getting it also already have great transit systems unlike Houston. They are getting BTR in addition to what they already have, when Houston doesn't really have one to begin with.
Well we are getting another rail line. Plus the BRT will eventually be turned into light rail. It wouldn't make sense to put the tracks, but then never put the overhead wires and get the trains.

Probably, Orion is at 8 Asbury place I believe.

I actually posted it at SSP first, but it says I did it at 05:37 which is weird because it isn't even that time yet.

Seven Riverway
I think this must be a mock up of how the facade will look

I think he may be right. It is on the North east corner I believe.
EDIT: I am talking about his first answer.

Well that would be nice, but they are way to close to justify two seperate lines. If you mean an east bound train on richmond and a west bound train on westheimer, I think they are too far from each other.

Oh, this is what it looked like for me
It had the same icon next to the URL also.

Yeah I noticed that. It helps make the page a little more unique (at least more than when it was just the little piece of paper).

I already have firefox, but if I download it 100 times will you get 100 dollars? Or is it only 1 dollar per IP?

So the whole block will now be a seven story building and a courtyard? Well that is alot better considering most of the block is surface parking right now.

Capital or Walker.
Thanks for that. I couldn't remember which street it was proposed to run under.

Houston is not to low for a subway, Houston is over 55 feet above sealevel, and along way from the sea. there is another sea below sea level like New Orleans and they have subways and tunnels there. I forgot the name of it, but they have a really good pumping system. If a city below sea level can do it than Houston can do it....
And look at how they have to shut down the rail when there is a big event downtown, that would not happen with a subway tunnel. All around a subway is a much better option.
My guess would be Amsterdam.
I know the light rail was running while people were downtown during the world series games.
-
How does light rail create more development than a subway? Also the issue with the subway isn't our elevation.
-
Red I assume you weren't talking to me earlier.
That bridge is over by norfolk right. I believe they built it like that so the Atlantic fleet could still leave the bay. Because if they had built a tall bridge for ships to pass under the fear was it could be bombed, trapping the ships.

The Euro. Actually, it is all the way up to 84.5 cents as of yesterday, from 79.9 cents in August.
yippee.
That is what I figured, but I didn't know if he was maybe comparing it to a different time period.
-
Not all of the tunnels flooded I believe. Also new measures have been taken after Allison that will likely keep that from happening again.
-
Look at those car. Now do they look like there from the 80s?
.
.
.
I didn't think so.
Yeah I think it was 80's or at most late 80's. It I believe it had support during Whitmire's time in office, but Lanier cancelled it. Maybe the pic is newer, but the proposal is from earlier.
