Forbidden Gardens Museum At 23500 Franz Rd.
YakuzaIce replied to KimberlySayWhat's topic in Katy and Points West
Been there twice, last time I was there (two years ago) they seemed to be working on some new things. I may try and get around to going again; it was interesting before. -
Final Freedom Tower design?
YakuzaIce replied to nmainguy's topic in Meanwhile, In The Rest of the World...
So are there many differences in this rendering and the one released a year ago? It seems the ring at the top is thicker. Also I remember they said the spire was still conceptual at the time, so is this the final version? I'll get an older rendering in a second. Ok here is a small ugly version. Full version here. http://www.renewnyc.com/images_WMS/freedom...5_RGB-wmark.jpg -
Hmm, not sure if I agree or disagree with this. As for this forum compared to others, it is amazing how mature most people are. (Had a longer post written out, but I didn't really want to get into that subject matter.)

Pavillions, Park Tower and the park aren't going to be malls. I guess you are talking about the Park Shops in Houston Center which doesn't really have anything to do with the new park, and they have been there for years. So why make a hoopla now?

And what was planned there a few years back...

One Park Place: Multifamily At 1400 McKinney St.
YakuzaIce replied to GovernorAggie's topic in Downtown
Well it seems to be the same rendering released for the park, except that the Finger building actually has detail. So my guess is that it was by Finger. Also here is the article in the Chronicle. I don't think I saw anyone else post it.- 989 replies

I believe it has to do with the former Lord and Tayler space. There is probably more info in one of the Galleria threads, I know one of the stores will be Borders.
-
Actually, (going off of info in the Houston vs. Dallas shopping thread) the number the DMN uses for the Galleria is wrong. Also that does not include Dillard's and Neiman Marcus.

So was anyone registered? I want to say there was something that said sign up to learn the results after voting or something to that effect.

Well at least one commercial level is underground. I'll check around for the exact number of office and parking levels.

Well Phoenix is still pulling away, almost 600 ahead now.. My guess is that there was something on their news, or there is some guy who has too much time, can bypass the security measures on the site, and loves Phoenix.

It is already under construction. http://www.houstonarchitecture.info/haif/i...owtopic=1504&hl

Was this person perhaps part of it? http://www.houstonarchitecture.info/haif/i...wtopic=2450&hl= (I can't believe I was able to remember the name of some random person concerning this topic from a year ago )

But were they actually Nazi symbols, or were they just swastikas (or it may have been something else) assumed to be Nazi symbols? Perhaps he practices Hinduism or Jainism. Ok, yeah I doubt that is what it was, but I am just throwing out a possibilty (which doesn't hold a chance considering his other actions).

I wonder where shell would rank if it was an American company. Granted the worldwide headquarters is in the Hague. [off_topic]kimberly, isn't that a picture of Dallas in your avatar? Or was that on purpose?[/off_topic]

The URL or the forum? I just have it bookmarked, so I don't type in www.thehaif.com, but the forum was working for me this morning.

44% of New Orleans students PASS TAKS Math
YakuzaIce replied to VicMan's topic in General Houston Discussions
Unless the article is wrong, it says they won't be held back until they fail the third time. And that is only if the parent doesn't appeal or if the committee doesn't vote to advance the student. -
I knew this topic seemed familiar. Previous ExxonMobil boycott topic Moderator edit: Edited to fix issue with registered trademark symbol in URL. The link works now! ~ssullivan

I guess more Houstonians heard about it since this post because there are now 8 below us in votes. Also don't forget to vote at work if you can get away with it.

YakuzaIce replied to WesternGulf's topic in International Houston
It was probably a joke. You should read up on Plastic's threads.
