  1. Looks like 7 more floors to go? Wish it was at least a 30 floor building
  2. A good read. http://www.houstonchronicle.com/local/gray-matters/article/609-Main-A-different-skyscraper-11153566.php#photo-12932407
  3. I'm just happy we will be filling that void with a skyscraper and not another garage.
  4. I know we would all love a supertall to be built but this infill of smaller projects has made the CBD denser and I think it won't be long til we get our supertall. Preferably I would love to see it in the northern section of downtown within all the smaller buildings, maybe between the courts the Catalyst and Market Square.
  5. I will take these as good news I'm guessing for further developments?
  6. I wish we had something like a obs tower sorta like Seattle near Market Square. It would go great in the area.
  7. I also ate at Biggios and when I left, looking across the pond at Discovery Green, I could see that Marlowe was filling in the view. Can't wait til it tops out.
  8. Maybe I am seeing things but I drove by downtown today around 2130 and saw that the bottom half of the crown was lit with white LEDs
  9. Really wonder how it'll look from 45N, really wish we could get some kind of computerized image or something
  10. I wet myself. In all seriousness though, will this tower be somewhat visible in the skyline or will it just get lost in the sea of buildings. From this video looks like the northern view may change a bit.
  11. Ugh I hate the LEDs on 609 Main, they could have included the whole crown and made the lights white not dark blue (sorry I know wrong thread)
  12. lets hope so, I hope they add a few more floors to this so it'll be more noticable
  13. Wait Capitol Tower is being built after all? I'm late to the party apparently
  14. Low end stores like Ross, Marshalls, etc. have worked great in other cities. Nashville, Chicago I know that Houston isn't a Chicago but it'll be a start. We would just need the foot traffic.
  15. I love this picture so much, it's just so nice to look at.
  16. Got to come into Houston for the New Years and spend it in downtown, mostly on Main St. and along the rail. What a difference from when I left almost 3 years ago, glad I will be calling Houston home once more beginning in February! Enjoy the pics
