LOL So book yourself a room at the Hotel Alesandra for Super Bowl. Knock yourself out.
Will do, and while I'm doing that learn how to spell the name of the hotel, it's on the forum.

It was removed from the garage going up at Franklin & Milam

Ahh ok I barely found out they were building a garage at Franklin and Milam. I got confused. Thanks!

You've clearly never worked construction. They seem to be at least 2 months ahead of their scheduled opening. The "closed-in" side you're referring to isn't 2 months worth of work if the money is there. And if they're ahead, that means the money is there to speed up construction. I figured they would barely be installing window panels.

sooooooo..... it won't be done in time for Super Bowl. What's your point?
That was such an educated response. Common sense will tell you that this thing almost looks done with a solid 2 months left before the big game. Looks like they have a chance to finish, maybe. That's my point.

Thank goodness this is being restored again.

I thought GFR was removed from this project

Will this be done before the Super Bowl?

Wow downtown is becoming very well balanced and with all the residential, it's going to be beautiful!

When does this start?

So glad these will be done before the Super Bowl. The design fits in so perfect with downtown.

Wow Midtown is going to be amazing in another 10 years.

This is stupid. Houston needs something like this. How can the Sears tower in Chicago handle tons of tourists, yet a few tenants here in Houston are complaining?

Wait till the Northside of Minute Maid gets filled up!

That's beautiful. I don't see how any of this is a negative impact on the area. Makes no sense.

Looks to be right across Burnett Station from Hardy Yards, at the Daly Street Park and Ride lot.
"Combined with two adjacent parcels of land the school already owns, the 17-acre tract will give it control of 27 contiguous acres bordered by White Oak Bayou to the west, North Main to the east, the Union Pacific railroad tracks to the north and the existing UHD campus to the south."
I wasn't 100% sure this was the land they were talking about, but wow this school is growing big time. Possibly a future Div 3?

Massive purchase by UHD as it expands its campus downtown. How close is this to the Hardy Yards development?

We're already there, man. We're already there. I'm still convinced the turning point was October 2015. That's when the bayou park officially opened, River Oaks District opened, and a good amount of new retail opened in downtown. That's when it hit me that the city had substantially changed and we're heading in a new urban direction.
Lol I agree. You're def right about that.

Man something like this would really put Houston in the forefront for urban development.
