  1. Looks like the building is still there, but now only 3 stories.
  2. I remember one of the units was built for the owner/manager of Town & Country and it had an enclosed pool and tropical garden.
  3. Interesting trivia - DQ was founded in 1940 in Joliet, IL, not in Texas.
  4. That's the River Oaks Country Club.....the original Cullen mansion was a block up the street, on the left...the NW corner of Inwood Dr. and River Oaks Blvd.
  5. That must be the Norton that started the Norton Ditto Men's Store in 1908. I used to shop at their store on Main St. in the 1960's and early 1970's.
  6. In the 60's and 70's Tennis was the major recreational sport for the 21 to 35 crowd.........
  7. The design elements come from Aztec influences, that were popular at the time.

  10. I remember the Railhead was one of the first restaurants that had a large salad bar.
  11. Based on the photograph this looked like a real "drinking" club!!
  12. I also drove an Alfa 1750 Spyder in the early 70's that I bought at Joe Locario's SW Motors.
