Lowbrow
Looking at purchasing in this area and wondering if anyone knows any specifics about any of the older townhomes in the area. Like architect's names or hidden complexes off the beaten path that I should give a look at? I've looked at the 701 Bering townhomes built in '77. They all look similar to this: http://www.har.com/media/49/1351849-1.jpghttp://www.har.com/media/43/1368943-1.jpghttp://www.har.com/media/06/1367506-1.jpg South of there, on Bering, are alot newer complexes which look rather vanilla or trying to look too Tuscan or something. Any thoughts on the area would be appreciated.

Everything is pretty much out in the open and nothing is hidden. One other place you might find interesting is off of Voss between Westheimer & San Felipe. It's called Hammersmith. Its across from the Hart Galleries. Those are very interesting and each one is unique. The maintenance fee is next to nothing, which you have to factor in. $38 a month compared to something like $275 per month for these on Bering. The prices are higher, but with the difference in maintenance fees.... There is also a street that runs behind second Baptist that has some decent lower priced condo units too.
