Trains are powered by the wires hanging over the tracks.Trains shared a single pair of rails, and the Metropolitan Transit Authority adjusted frequencies from 12 to 15 minutes and added shuttle buses to ferry Texans fans from the Smith Lands parking lot in the Texas Medical Center to Reliant Park. The adjustments did not seem to delay fans' trips to the game, said Metro spokeswoman Maggi Stewart. Temporary repairs were complete by about 2 p.m.. Rail officials hadn't determined why the wire snapped.
