DaTrain
Have you ever driven at night down some of Houston's major streets and you notice a number of street lights at times being out in block segments?? Why is this still happening? Somehow there is something in the copper wires that causes these lights to go out for nights at a time and I don't know too much how maintenance on the lighting segments are but I KNOW for a fact all them lights don't burn out like that at once. Now I wonder why TxDot put up high masts to replace conventional lighting just so they have less maintenance people to pay money to.
musicman
if there are some out near you, get the number on each pole and call 311 to report them. unfortunately, we are paying for the electricity to light these even though they are out. so you'd be doing us ALL a favor
nmainguy
Report on-line using this form http://www.centerpointenergy.com/outage/ and 311 with the pole number. I've found doing both gets better results.
