mrfootball
Here are some more pics from neighborhoods in the Cypress, TX area. Places next to Longwood (see my other thread) like Coles Crossing and Rock Creek as well as other developments like Blackhorse Ranch, etc. There's a lot of variety in Cypress as you can choose a serene wooded setting on the North side of 290 or a more open pastoral setting on the South side of 290, from lakeside communities to golf course communities, horse stable communities to mini ranches - the schools are excellent and the lifestyle relaxed. "Good" retail has yet to catch up to this area, which has grown by over 75% since the 2000 census. Main entrance to Coles Crossing on Barker Cypress (about 1 mile NW of 290). Coles Crossing is heavily wooded in the common areas, but not as wooded as Longwood. Homes in Coles Crossing, a Master-Planned community of nearly 3,000 homes located in Cypress. Main Clubhouse at Coles Crossing, featuring a fitness center, party gazebo, pools, splashpad, lazy river, playgrounds, soccer fields, jogging trails, etc. Another pool in Coles Crossing, the neighborhood has 3 separate pool areas, each with their own parks, playgrounds, etc. Sampson Elementary schools is an Exemplary rated CFISD elementary school located inside Coles Crossing Coles Crossing is nearly built out. Home prices range from the $200's to the $800's. Edited November 10, 2006 by mrfootball
mrfootball
The new Cypress Woods High School opened in Fall 2006 to relieve Cy-Fair HS. It takes in neighborhoods in the Northwest Cypress areas such as Longwood, Coles Crossing, Cypress Pointe, Rock Creek, Stable Gate, Stablewood Farms, Northlake Forest, Blackhorse Ranch, Cypress Creek Lakes, Fairfield, etc. The new Berry Center, Cy-Fair ISD's $80 Million multi-use facility featuring a football stadium, basketball arena, auditorium, conference center, multimedia production studio, and catering facility. mrfootball
Rock Creek is a popular custom home community located in Cypress, developed by Caldwell Watson. The community has a 'texas hill country' theme. The original sections have lots of water features, while the newer sections feature more wooded sections. Clubhouse at Rock Creek, has a really nice fitness center The neighborhood starts in the high $300's up to the millions and features exclusively custom homes. A home in the 'wooded' section of Rock Creek. One of the lakes in Rock Creek, lined with Cypress trees. One day, they'll look really nice. mrfootball
Northlake Forest is located adjacent to Longwood & Coles Crossing bordered by Spring Cypress and Huffmeister. Homes in the neighborhood range from the $170's to the mid $400's, I personally think this neighborhood is a great buy in Cypress. The neighborhood surrounds a series of lakes and tiered streams, each ringed with pocket parks, fountains, and stocked with fish. The lakes also serve the dual purpose of providing flood retention. Clubhouse in Northlake Forest, with playground, tennis courts, pool, etc. Northlake Forest (all of these neighborhoods in this thread) are zoned to Cypress Woods HS. PO's is an institution. The legendary greaseburger. They've got many types of 'other' burgers as well...ostrich, buffalo, etc. Edited November 9, 2006 by mrfootball
mrfootball
There are a number of small horse farm communities throughout Cypress like this one called Cypress Ranch Estates They typically sit on about 5 acre lots and offer plenty of room for private barns and riding areas. Other neighborhoods like Stable Gate offer a more conventional master-planned layout with community horse stables and riding areas as one of the amenities. This neighborhood, called Cypress Hill offers big lots on a waterski lake Cypress Hill Lots of estate homes on acreage throughout 77429 Lake communities are especially popular on the South side of 290, like this one off Fry Rd, called Cypress Creek Lakes (across from Blackhorse and the planned Bridgeland community) One of my favorite hidden spots in Cypress are the small nooks like Park Forest and Secret Forest, which offer secluded estate size lots tucked away in heavily forested gated communities. Mom22Blessings
Is your neighborhood 77429? I didn't realize how close the boundaries are to Tomball ISD out in your area. That zip code needs to be split up.
mrfootball
Tomball ISD is right next door to us. For a long time, I just assumed these neighborhoods were in CFISD. Neighborhoods like Village Creek, Lakewood, Villaggio, Village of Indian Trails, Northpointe Forest, Gettysburgh, Lakewood Grove etc are in Tomball ISD, but not really in "Tomball" per se. They are in the "HP/Louetta Area" which overlaps Cypress. Yes, Longwood is in the 77429 zip code as are most of these neighborhoods pictured in this thread, the other zip codes in "The Cyp" (as the kid's refer to it) are 77433 (Blackhorse) along with 77095 (Stone Gate), in addition to HP Area Zips 77377 (Villaggio) and 77070 (Lakewood). These (and 77379 northside of 249) are all of the zips pictured in my satellite view pic (below): The 77429 Zip Code is a very large zip code area-wise, the population having grown by more than 75% since the 2000 census, I would suspect that most of these area zip codes have experienced similar growth. CypressResident
In about a year or so (as it becomes more developed) - you should be able to get good pictures of Bridgeland, too.
Mom22Blessings
Houses off of Louetta and Jones across from Lakewood Forest are IN Tomball. They can vote for city council and all that good city stuff. I thought it was kinda weird too....one of my friends lived there before moving to Stone Gate. The school district is planning a new high school out in that area. Its actually one of the only incorporated cities in the area.
